I visited Prague for the first time and took a 1:1 photo walking tour with Johnny/Jan. It was a blast and I really enjoyed it. He is very patient and gave practical tips. He poses simple questions to make a person think and that will likely make me remember things. He also gave a few exercises that are also useful. He asked me about my level and skills so that he could customize and was well-prepared about the walking route and where to go. Clearly he has done this several times before because he knew about good spots.

Jan is a very knowledgeable guide and knew exactly where (and when) to go to the best vantage points. He also pointed out the appropriate camera settings to guarantee the bet results for every shot. I enjoyed this trip very much since he is a very likable person as well which made this encounter a fun experience. I can wholeheartedly recommend him for everybody trying to improve on their knowledge regarding photography and the local culture.

Simply amazing! Johny is a wonderful photographer who showed me some great spots for photographing in Prague. Helped with settings, advice on composition and many other tips. I generally don’t do this type of photography but Johny open my eyes to a new world.

Jan was sooo nice and helpful. While I consider myself a very experienced photographer, he taught me more than a few things and techniques. I cannot recommend him highly enough. You will not be disappointed.

Of all the things we did in Prague, this photo tour continues to be the thing I most highly recommend to anyone visiting. Jan is a phenomenal guide and photographer, and was patient with us even as very amateur photographers. We got to see so many great spots in Prague we would have never known to visit otherwise, and to have some guidance on how to best capture the views we were seeing was super helpful. I think there is more to be gained from this tour if you have a camera (which my wife did), but even with just an iPhone, I got some really great shots and had a lot of fun. Our afternoon with Jan was the highlight of our trip, and this was worth every penny!

If you are in Prague and like photography this is the guide for you. As his bio states Jan is both guide and educator. Even someone who is an experienced photographer can learn new things. Jan knows how cameras work and his tour is not just traditional cityscape sites. Because of the variety of places visited, most people on Jan's tour will experience different types of photography all in one tour. During my tour Jan took me to the interior of a building to photograph a spiral staircase as you can see from the attached photo. We then went to a park to do some abstract photography of metal memorials located there. Near the end we concluded with classic photos of Charles bridge and Prague castle at blue hour/night. The three hour tour went by quickly as it was always interesting and new. During the tour I mentioned that I was looking to buy a new tripod, Jan said he would follow-up and provide a link to what he uses. The next day I got an email with some recommendations. Jan went above and beyond to help out his client which was very much appreciated. From Jan's guiding I have a new portfolio of outstanding photographs.

My friend and I booked a 3 hour evening tour with Jan. It was awesome to have just the two of us. We wanted to meet a local and see Prague through his eyes. Jan was super nice and our meet up went smoothly. The tour was a lot of fun, having a nice variety to it. We shot indoors, from beautiful outdoor vista points, and even had a fun “Abstract” activity near the river. I believe this experience, with Jan’s photo tips, helped me get beautiful shots of Prague, and better shots for the rest of my Europe trip. If you love photography, I highly recommend joining one of Jan’s photo tours with your camera or cell phone! Cheryl

It was my second time to book this tour with Jan. The first time was with my daughter back in 2016 and the second time with my cousin last October. I enjoyed both beautiful experiences seeing the beauty of nature and great company . If you have limited time in Prague, I highly recommend booking this tour. We had a great time with Jan. He gave us so many photography tips and took us to some amazing vantage points in Prague. If want to capture some of your best photos ever-book this trip! As a plus, Jan is very communicative and quick to respond via email or text. He is also very pleasant and speaks excellent English.

If you have an interest in improving your photography, then doing a tour with Jan is a must! I had walked past a few of the spots we shot from, but local knowledge was key in knowing when to visit and what angle to take. He had plenty of advice and tips on how to improve my photography (both iPhone and mirrorless camera) and shared them in a way that was easy to understand and apply. I will definitely do another tour with him in the future.
