次の目的地は、ギリシャで最も美しくロマンチックな都市のひとつとされる、魅力的な海辺の町ナフプリオです。ナフプリオは歴史的な名前、ナポリ・ディ・ルーマニアとも呼ばれています。 かつて近代ギリシャ国家の最初の首都であったナフプリオは、新古典主義建築、狭い石畳の路地、優雅なヴェネツィアの影響に溢れています。 絵のように美しい街並みを散策しながら、街の高台に佇むパラミディ要塞の壮麗さ、港の中央からそびえる象徴的なブルッツィ城、旧市街の重要なランドマークである美しい聖ゲオルギウス大聖堂など、見どころ満載です。 ガイド付きウォーキングの後は、自分のペースで自由に散策できます。海沿いのコーヒーを楽しんだり、地元のブティックを閲覧したり、この魅力的な町のリラックスした雰囲気に浸ったりするのもよいでしょう。
次に、ミケーネの古代城塞への旅を続けます。ミケーネは、世界で最も早く伝説化された文明の中心地です。 トロイア戦争の叙事詩との関連で崇拝されたミケーネは、偉大な王アガメムノーンの王国―美しいヘレネーを取り戻すためにトロイアに航海したギリシア軍のリーダー―であると言われている。 この注目すべき考古学的遺跡を探索しながら、古代都市への堂々とした入り口である象徴的なライオンの門をくぐり抜け、数千年もの間巨大な石がそびえ立つ巨大なキュクロペウスの長城に驚嘆します。 また、ミケーネ文明の王のために建てられた蜂の巣状の墓、アトレウスの宝物庫（別名アガメムノンの墓）も見学します。 ガイド付き見学の後は、ミケーネでゆったりと昼食をとり、古代史の響きに囲まれた食事をお楽しみください。

The main problem with this tour was that the guide spoke very poor English. She gave a commentary in both French and English but was very difficult to understand which was disappointing as we were interested to hear about the history etc. Also the departure from the Amalia hotel was very disorganised and slow. However the sites themselves and the journey through the mountains was lovely. Like many people, we opted not to take the lunch option but to spend time in Napflio instead and that was a good choice.
This was the WORST tour ever!!! At pickup point, tour guy showed up & put me in a taxi, told me it was paid for to bus location. NO, I paid 10 euros, complained at bus & refunded. Tour guide spoke unclear English and French. Spoke back and forward between languages, hard to tell which she was speaking throughout WHOLE tour. NEVER asked if we had any questions! She ran off the bus at each stop, leaving us run to catch up with her. She was arrogant and demeaning, talking to us as if we were idiots. Several other people voiced complaints to me about her out of her hearing range. At the restaurant, she shamefully called out the four persons’ names who did not pay extra for lunch meal and made sure we raised our hand. No where to go if not eating their lunch. Bus was locked. Residential area. Sat on curb and waited! At dropout point, stopped in most left-hand lane of a three-lane busy street and left me to cross in front of traffic. This was NOT in front of my pick-up point. Dangerous to clients! Unpleasant tour guide! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY on this company! I will tell everyone I know about this experience.
The theatre at Epidarius is outstanding. The bus rides were long. The guide was distant and not very friendly. Time at the sites was limited.
This was an absolutely excellent tour. Our guide was outstanding. She shared her vast knowledge with us, kept us on track, and made it a delightful trip. I highly recommend this trip. It does involve a good amount of walking so wear our comfy shoes.
The experience was phenomenal! Visited many sites in one day, and the included lunch was great. I recommend this tour.
The whole trip was relaxed and enjoyable. Our guide Evi was just right with the amount of given information. We could easily follow her stories. Our driver was excellent, and we were able to enjoy the whole trip. Scenery is breathtaking (sea, olive trees, ancient spots, orange trees). Corinth canal and walk over the bridge is memorable! Epidaurus is something that has impressed me the most. Mycenae was somehow still and quit, but you could feel the energy of that old acropolis. Also, the old school of craftworkers with their ceramics, ornaments and jewellery at the end of the journey were interesting to see!
Great and knowledgeable guide. Good value for money. I wished however, they had provided 30 minutes longer for the Epidaurus theatre.
We had a great day in Peloponnese exploring the Mycenaean remains and civilization. The tour ended at the Lion's gate and we returned to Athens by 6:30pm. Our tour was very well managed with comfortable bus and drive. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and shared a wealth of information about mythology, history, and the ancient art and architecture. The driver was excellent and made the trip safe and enjoyable. I recommend this one day tour of the Greek history to anyone interested in the ancient culture, history, and beautiful countryside scenery.
The trip was amazing. The tourguide told us a lot about the spots. And we had enough time to discover them alone. Highly recommended
I would recommend this tour as it is a great way to see some real-world ancient history of Greece. The guide was great and everything was well organized. I was here on my honeymoon and we would honestly probably give this a 4/5, but I believe any negative feelings are based on the fact that we did a 14 hour train tour the day before this and it was beginning to feel redundant, but that is our fault, not the tours. The final destination at the palace and tomb of Mycenae offers amazing hilltop views of the local area. It made for some really amazing photos.
