Absolutely amazing experience with Geoff (Jeff? Sorry we didn’t ask!) as our local guide! It was great to have a more cozy tour in the van rather than a big one in a bus. The food was great and catered for my Coeliac partner, photos are amazing and Geoff took us to a few hidden gems on the way there and back. Would definitely recommend anyone to do this tour!! P.S. for any other Aussies, Geoff only slightly took the piss out of us (he still thinks NZ came up with pavlova though, so we weren’t too offended 😉)

Definitely was worth doing an organised tour. Just to sit back and enjoy the incredible scenery and excellent commentary was fab. Our guide, Ben, was very knowledgeable about Te Anou, the countryside and also gave some very interesting facts and told some great stories. The stops on the way to Milford Sound allowed us to get some excellent photos and get a feel for the grandeur of the mountains. The cruise was well organised and showcased the Sound well. We were lucky with the weather and, although raining a little, we were still able to get great views. The rain also created many temporary water falls, which was an added bonus. The journey back felt a little rushed, especially the forest walk. This was a shame as it was interesting to see and hear how the forest survives in such a harsh environment.

The experience was excellent! We did the transfer in a comfortable van, our guide (Steve) was super friendly, humorous and with extensive knowledge of everything. The cruise trip was without a doubt one of the best excursions I have ever had in my life, the scenery is spectacular and it is truly something unique.

Once in a lifetime experience, jeff our tour guide was amazing and really helped make the day what it was. Amazing views on the drive and the boat, full day of amazing scenes. Small group made it super personable and easy to stop at some cool places along the way. Definitely worth the money and would recommend to anyone looking for a day full of beautiful scenes and unforgettable memories.

We had Jeff and the experience was amazing. Made a constant effort to keep us away from the hordes of Queenstown. Would argue that we got the best boat for the cruise. And the guided van tour was amazing we got to do a lot more stops than any other tour. Got to see a Kea. If you’re looking for an experience that feels more personalized and looking for local knowledge about the land then this tour is for you. The provided lunch was alright but could be a little bigger for how long the tour was, id recommend bringing some extra snacks for the boat/van ride if you can. Ask lots of questions guides are very knowledgeable on local history and ecology of the area.

The whole day was very well organised and very informative. Our guide, Ben, was fabulous. His knowledge about places and the natural world along the route to and from Milford Sound made the day even more enjoyable. On top of that he was a great driver as well. The cruise boat was very comfortable and the crew ensured all those onboard were safe and kept informed about the sights of Milford Sound. It was a day that our party will long remember. Thoroughly recommended.

We can't say enough wonderful things about Jeff, our tour guide, who made our experience extra special and memorable. Jeff shared personal stories and insights about growing up in Fiordland, adding in a local's insight. He recommended and took us to hidden gems that we didn't expect on a major tour. Milford Sound was amazing, and everything one would expect, but it was Jeff's hospitality and enthusiasm that made the trip extra special.

Our family enjoyed the full day trip to Milford sound with Trips & Tramps greatly. They use the smaller boats that go around the sound, which made a huge difference for us. We got to share the experience, like the penguin or seal sightings, with only a handful of travelers, instead of hundreds of strangers. It felt uncrowded. Their guide Geoff, who took us from Te Anau to Milford sound and back on a very comfortable van, was also great. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend them for this tour.

What a fabulous day road tripping on the Milford Road on our way to the breathtaking Milford Sound. Our tour guide Geoff provided colorful commentary on the local wildlife (flora and fauna), topography, conservation efforts, and the history of the Fiordland national park. He entertained us with stories of the hearty locals who lived off the land, and the resident locals who maintain this pristine environment with the utmost care and respect. We loved stopping at picturesque viewpoints along the way and short tramps to see waterfalls and shorelines. The absolutely sheer beauty of the Milford Sound left us speechless. Highly recommend this tour for those staying in Te Anu.
