Yingwei met us at our hotel at 8am. He was so friendly and a great driver. It was quite hot out so having an air conditioned car take us everywhere was amazing, since both sites are outside of the city proper. He was also very helpful with getting boat tickets at Leshan Giant Buddha. My husband and I had a wonderful time seeing the giant Buddha and then Huanglongxi.

We visited the Leshan Giant Buddha with a local guide, and I’m glad we did. The guide shared fascinating stories about the Buddha and Lingyun Temple, which helped us understand the history and purpose behind its construction. The ascent was manageable, but the descent to the feet of the Buddha can be a bit tedious for those with less stamina. Overall, the experience was enriching

Our 5 stars go mainly to Huang Ling, our personal driver for today. She was very kind and helpful and allowed us to comfortably visit places very far from each other on a really, really hot day. This is a premium transfer where you enjoy a personal driver who picks you up, takes you, waits for you, gives you water and fruit, helps you get tickets, certainly much more convenient than many different didis to look for, find, and wait for. The trip itself is certainly nice, but perhaps Viator should specify in the description (and in the main photo) that it is a view of the Leshan Buddha from the boat. Very practical because there were no lines and heat, but we found it a little quick. The driver was also available to let us do the visit from above (the more classic one, let's say), but another ticket would have had to be purchased, and we probably wouldn't have been on time to be able to see the village of Huanglongxi as well; the latter was a real surprise because we knew nothing about it, and instead we found a delightful ancient town with lots of water games made by the local children and very characteristic. Overall, therefore, a trip that we would recommend to those who want to visit the Leshan Buddha comfortably in the peak season, with a few extra luxuries. Thanks in particular to Huang Ling

The drive from Chengdu is about 2 hours but absolutely worth seeing the Giant Buddha. The Ancient Town is gorgeous, but it is July, too hot, vacation time in China, super busy, too crowded, too loud and too many kids playing in the water..... ended up not staying very long 😞

There is NO guide provided for this tour, it is only a car to the Buddah, and driver does not speak English. You can hire a guide for an additional 1,000yen. The guide we hired for 1,000 yen more was great though.

Caibing gave my family a wonderful day we won't soon forget. It started with an on time pick up at our hotel lobby, and he gave us a smooth ride to our destinations. He also helped make sure we had the right tickets for riding the shuttle at the Leshan Giant Buddha. He was easy to communicate with via WeChat and accommodated our needs throughout the day. He was incredibly helpful and kind on our adventure. The exploration was excellent and Caibing helped ensure that outcome.

Our Le Shan Buddha and Huanglongxi Ancient Town day trip was made even more enjoyable thanks to Ms Yan’s exceptional service. She was incredibly thoughtful, even preparing water and fresh fruit for us for the road trip. It was such a lovely touch that made us feel genuinely cared for. Ms Yan was a safe, skilled, and pleasant driver throughout the day, and her flexibility and willingness to help (especially when traveling with my elderly father-in-law) made the entire experience seamless and stress-free.
