Do not waste your money. Get a taxi on your own
Our travel agent booked this transportation
from our hotel to train station. It cost $70.68. The photo on Viator site shows a black van. However, a regular marked taxi showed up (we verified it was the correct driver) and he drove us 1 km to the station. Again, it cost $70.68 and it was only a 1 km drive. Had we called a taxi on our own, the trip would have cost less than 10 euros!!
Do better, Viator!! This was a terrible rip off!

We’re sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the experience and would like to clarify a few points regarding your booking.
The vehicle provided was a licensed Mercedes-Benz V-Class taxi, which is authorized under local transport regulations in Barcelona. While it may have displayed official taxi markings, it was not a standard small city taxi. Your reservation also included a pre-arranged private transfer service with meet-and-greet assistance, scheduled pickup, and accommodation for your group’s 8 pieces of luggage, which would not have fit in a regular taxi vehicle.
Pricing for pre-booked private transfers is based not only on distance, but also on vehicle category, luggage capacity, guaranteed availability, and personalized service.
We appreciate your feedback and regret that the service did not match your expectations.

Convenient reliable ride to the train station.
The driver was on time and helped with luggage. The car was roomy and comfortable. It was actually a taxi but the fact that I was able to choose time and place and the size of the vehicle made it worth it. 4 people 6 pieces of luggage

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations.
We would like to clarify that, in certain areas of Barcelona, especially around the city center and train stations, access restrictions require us to operate with officially licensed local taxis. This ensures compliance with local regulations while still providing a pre-booked, reliable service.
The price you paid includes more than just the ride itself—it covers advance booking, guaranteed pickup at your requested time, driver coordination, and service reliability, which can differ from standard street-hailed taxi fares.
That said, we regret that the level of assistance did not meet your expectations, and we will address this with our driver to ensure better service moving forward.
We appreciate your feedback and hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a better experience in the future.
