Got picked up in a taxi cab to take us and our friends to the cruise port, not what we ordered. Gentleman had very bad body odor, and did not speak any English.

We hired your car service to transport four adults, along with our luggage, from our hotel in Barcelona to the cruise port. Based on the number of passengers and the amount of luggage, we expected, at a minimum, a minivan or similarly sized vehicle. Instead, a Prius taxi was sent to pick us up, and it arrived 20 minutes late. Four adults with luggage barely fit inside the vehicle, making the journey extremely cramped and uncomfortable. We paid $90.00 USD for this car service. However, upon arriving at our destination, the taxi meter in the vehicle showed a fare of only $25.00 USD. This raises serious concerns about the amount we were charged and the value of the service provided. We were disappointed that the vehicle supplied was clearly not appropriate for four adults traveling with luggage. Given the late arrival, inadequate vehicle, and the significant difference between the $90.00 we paid and the $25.00 fare displayed on the taxi meter, we did not feel the charge was justified. We requested a partial refund to resolve this matter reasonably, but our request was denied. In effect, we paid an additional $65.00 simply for the company to arrange a taxi for us, while receiving none of the upgraded or specialized transportation service we reasonably expected when booking a car service. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend this company. Do not use this company—save yourself the trouble and hire a taxi directly. You may end up paying significantly more for essentially the same taxi service, without receiving the level of service you were led to expect. The service we received did not meet reasonable expectations, and the company was unwilling to provide even a partial refund after we raised our concerns.

The fact that the vehicle is a taxi does not mean that the service was a standard street taxi. Your transfer was privately pre-booked and dedicated to your group, with the service arranged in advance rather than simply taking a taxi from the street. Regarding the €25 shown on the taxi meter, this is the regulated metered fare for the vehicle itself and is not the price of the pre-booked private transfer. The price paid through Viator covers the complete pre-arranged service, including advance booking, dispatching and coordinating the vehicle, guaranteed pickup, customer support, and the arrangements associated with a private transfer. Comparing the Viator price directly with the taxi meter therefore does not represent the full service purchased. We also sincerely apologize that the vehicle arrived approximately 20 minutes late. We understand that punctuality is particularly important when travelling to a cruise port, and we regret the inconvenience caused. We appreciate your comments regarding the vehicle size and will take this feedback into consideration when allocating vehicles for passengers travelling with luggage. While the tour operator was responsive to my emails, the cost of the transfer from the hotel to the port was more than 3 times the cost of a large cab. The tour operator never advised me that they were sending a cab to transfer my family to the cruise port. Every time I have booked a transfer through Viator, the vehicle was a professional type vehicle. In this case I still had to secure a second vehicle to transport our luggage and the 6 passengers. The tour charged $111 and the additional cab (the same size van) charged $30. I would never consider using this operator again!

Very reliable. We saw numerous people on our cruise scrambling to find a ride to our cruise as many drivers had canceled. Our original ride was to be in a small bus, when that was damaged in an auto accident the morning of our cruise, they sent a van and a car to make sure our group of 10 made it to the cruise. We are so thankful!
