Remarkable!! Herculaneum is a hidden gem that gives you insight as to what Ancient Roman life was like in 79AD. Our guide, Luigi was incredibly knowledgeable, funny, and helped us understand the magnitude of the discovery.

Very enjoyable. Our guide was very engaging, informative and fun. The site is compact and easy to get around. You can pick up a free map at the kiosk at the entry to the park. Lovely little restaurant on the left-hand side of the road across from the park. Best meatballs we ever tasted ! The tour was easily the highlight of our trip to Italy, and that includes Pompeii, the Colosseum and Rome.

Our guide was a wealth of information and knowledge. So informative with a little humour thrown in! Very easy to understand and open to questions. Be sure to check in correctly prior to the beginning of the tour as we were kept waiting for almost 20 minutes for a small number of people who didn't do this, which was a little frustrating. Wear good sturdy walking shoes and be able to walk up and down steps/stairs.

Really enjoyed Walking around the archeological site and guide explaining the findings with detail. Amazing discoveries. Museum has original collection of various objects. Preservation of Part of original boat and story behind it was very fascinating. Place must visit.
