This was hands down one of the best tours we’ve ever been on! Lelo, the archaeologist, was an amazing tour guide and very knowledgeable. He kept us all engaged and entertained, especially the kids. We all learned so much about Pompei!

We had a wonderful family-focused tour of Pompeii! Our guide did an amazing job bringing the ancient city to life while keeping both adults and children engaged. The stories, interactive questions, and thoughtful pace made the experience fun and educational for everyone. We learned so much and appreciated how patient and knowledgeable our guide was. Highly recommend for families visiting Pompeii!

For my daughter’s high school graduation present we decided we would go to Italy and spend a couple of weeks between Rome and some other key cities. My daughter and her best friend were most focused on going to Pompeii and Paestum as they are both studying classics and anthropology. As such, we wanted to make sure we had a very focused tour and wanted to ensure the guide was knowledgeable and could answer their advanced questions. From the start when we arrived by train, we were greeted by our driver, Yuri Carlos and immediately pleased with his courteous and professional demeanor. He was right on time and made a point of learning all our names. He took us to the vehicle and chatted about the tours we were doing today and confirmed the schedule. Yuri was also very knowledgeable about Naples and gave us some great perspective and insight into the history and Mt. Vesuvius. He made the ride to Pompeii short and engaging. He also told us our guide, Roxanne was excellent and we would really enjoy the tour. We met Roxanne at the entrance and she was truly amazing. From the very beginning, she was energetic, intelligent, and it was obvious that she was not just a person that knew a few facts, she was a full blown archeologist! As we toured Pompeii, she shared so much great info that we took our time and she answered so many questions. Our daughter and her friend were actually impressed! We were given a master class in Pompeii and it was obvious this was no canned, scripted tour. Roxanne’s level of knowledge was mind blowing. It was also obvious that the docents and staff around the site had tremendous respect for her. She was also very kind and took pictures of us that will be great mementos of our time there. The true mark of a great tour is when it ends you can’t wait to come back and learn more. From Pompeii we went to Paestum. Yuri shared additional information about the area and made the hour drive seem short and easy. My daughter and her friend were familiar with some of the base story, but for my spouse and I we came in with very little knowledge. Roxanne took us on an experience we will not soon forget. She linked much of the information and history she had already shared at Pompeii with the earlier colonization by the Greeks and that linkage really brought the whole story to life. When you see the temples and monuments you run out of words to describe it. Again, Roxanne was amazing and so friendly and patient. We ended the tour with a walk through the museum and it was hard to believe we had to head out to catch the train back to Rome. Even though we stayed later than planned, Yuri got us back to our train on time and walked us all the way to the platform! The bottom line is this was an experience that exceeded our expectations in every way. We recommend the tour with our highest regards and can’t thank Yuri enough for being awesome and accommodating. We are also huge fans of Roxanne and will specifically request her and Yuri the next time we come back which will be soon!

Anna was an absolute dream guide for this tour! She was extremely patient with my inquisitive 9-year old, and made the entire experience so much fun for all of us. Thank you, Anna!

Booking this tour was the best decision we made during our trip to Italy. Our guide was fantastic! She kept my 12-year-old engaged the entire time. Her storytelling is very interesting for both kids and adults. She was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. At the end of the tour, my son told her, "Thank you, you are the best guide ever". This experience will be forever in our hearts and totally worth every penny!

Pompeii is super busy and I wouldn’t have wanted to attempt the queues with four young children without this tour. Marina was amazing with our kids! She judged their capabilities really well and showed us just the right amount of things within walking distance for them all…four children under nine. Her knowledge was incredible. I couldn’t recommend booking this tour more! Thank you!

Lello was an engaging storyteller who brought Pompeii to life. Our family had a great time learning with our small group. I was impressed with how he navigated around large tourist groups to create a more personalized and intimate experience.

The Pompeii experience was amazing! Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and engaging. He thoroughly explained the history, culture, and significance of the things we saw. He gave us a reasonable break and the tour wasn’t rushed. However, the tour guide made some inappropriate comments for a “family-friendly/kid-friendly” tour. We had to pull our seven-year-old away from the group during some conversations and jokes.

Thank you Lello for an incredible experience! We couldn’t have dreamed up a better guide! We all learned so much and the kids were engaged the entire time. Truly the best tour we have ever had. We had an exceptional experience on this tour, thanks to our guide (and archeologist), Lello. He struck that rare balance of being kind, genuinely funny, and deeply knowledgeable. What stood out most was how he brought the information to life in an engaging way. He involved our kids, quizzing them in a way that felt fun rather than intimidating. He even gave them a small prize, which they loved and made the experience even more memorable. Lello kept their interest the entire time, and more importantly, the information stayed with them. Since the tour, they’ve been referencing what they learned and even applying it in completely different contexts, which says everything about how effectively Lello teaches. We left feeling incredibly grateful for the experience. As a family, we all agreed that Lello is the best guide we have ever had, and that’s not something we say lightly. The tour is worth the cost and more. Do not hesitate to book with him.
