Day 1: the water
Cai Rang at first light, the small canals and a noodle workshop, then the city in the afternoon and a cruise at sunset.
Day 2: the land
Phong Dien market early, then cycle the dyke paths through the cacao and rambutan gardens with lunch at a family house.
If you have an extra half day
Drive south to the cajuput swamp of Lung Ngoc Hoang, or take a boat out to Con Son islet and its floating fish farms.
