Descrizione
A real family home. A medieval village in the Parma hills. Fresh pasta made by hand, a panoramic terrace, and an Italian lunch or dinner with local wine. This is a morning or afternoon well spent — with me, Virginia, Mamma Nadia, and possibly two very curious cats. - A real family home, not a cooking school — you'll cook in our kitchen, eat at our table, and share the afternoon with us like a guest, not a tourist - Calestano, a medieval village in the Parma hills — not a city kitchen, but a panoramic terrace overlooking countryside that most visitors never see - Ingredients from our own garden — seasonal, organic, and picked that morning - Local black truffle, available as an add-on — harvested right here in these hills - Maximum 8 guests — intimate by design, never a crowd - Private transfer from Parma available — no car needed, no stress

Parma is an amazing food city, and Virginia is an amazing teacher. In a clear, supportive and fun fashion, she taught us the tricks for making great pasta and ravioli — which we then enjoyed for lunch. Wonderful experience.
Everything excellent, I highly recommend it
I highly recommend traveling out in the country to experience this cooking class. Beautiful ride through the countryside. Virginia and Nadia are wonderful hosts. Virginia speaks English and was very gracious! We made ravioli and tagliatelle. They treated us to a wonderful appetizer of fresh prosciutto and Parmesan cheese with homemade bread. Sangiovese was superb! Then we ate our ravioli and tagliatelle and finished with a wonderful tiramisu ice cream dessert. I highly recommend!
My partner and I were immersed in the world of cooking with enthusiasm. The friendliness and professionalism made the difference. Thank you, thank you for everything you left us! Compliments I highly recommend it!
Exquisite experience, I went with my boyfriend but I would like to return with my friends. We had a lot of fun and finally learned how to make tortelli the way our grandmothers used to make them. Virginia is nice and super knowledgeable. I hope to return soon for other courses like the one on Japanese ravioli.
fantastic experience, great company, I recommend it to those who want to have an experience different from the usual dinner out
Experience amidst laughter and hands in the dough.. learning to make homemade pasta enriched me! Highly recommended! Thank you Virginia
Virginia is truly very talented! Top experience!!! I would recommend it to anyone!
We had a fantastic welcome from Virginia and Nadia...two wonderful people, who let us try a beautiful pasta experience, a fun, curious and simple way to have fun in company and taste excellent local products. I recommend trying it, for those who have the pleasure of learning to cook and taste good, traditional Italian things. Thank you for this beautiful experience. The cats are fantastic!!!!!😍
I highly recommend to stay away, we left with a very bad taste in our mouth and a very bad way to end a trip in Italy. We booked directly with Virginia. On texts she’s very responsive and answered the questions I had, and she even moved the time because we were late. But when we arrived everything was completely different. It felt like she doesn’t want us there from the moment we arrived, she wasn’t welcoming, didn’t have the will to teach, wasn’t patient to our questions (so we stopped asking after two questions). You can feel the judgmental and disrespectful attitude in her face expressions. It didn’t feel like we’re making a pasta, but watching a kitchen and trying to help them. Even the Ravioli filling was prepared ahead of time. The pasta making was very short and quick, and then we sat outside like waiting in a restaurant to the food to come out, and weren’t involved in any of the pasta cooking and sauce making process. Also, when we asked for more Parmesan aside for the pasta, she said what she already put was her last portion, which felt like an excuse. And also it felt like I wasn’t supposed to ask for that. At the end it felt like a very expensive restaurant dinner which wasn’t justified at all, and in addition she kind of made us tip her because she wasn’t ready with a change.
I am surprised to read this review, as it presents a version of events that is very far from what actually happened. First of all, it is important to clarify that the experience you attended was exactly the one described on the activity page at the time of booking. Every part of the lesson was explained in advance and was carried out as described, including the organization and preparation of some ingredients. There was therefore no surprise or discrepancy compared to what you chose and booked. I also find it significant that your review begins by acknowledging my availability before your arrival: I answered your questions, was responsive in our communication, and even changed the schedule to accommodate your delay. However, you then go on to make accusations based mainly on personal interpretations of my body language and my supposed intentions. Personal perceptions are subjective and valid as feelings, but they cannot be presented as objective facts. Regarding the payment, it is also important to clarify what actually happened. The price of the activity was known in advance, and I offered you the possibility to pay by card, but you chose to pay in cash in order to receive the discount. Since you did not have the agreed amount with you, we ended up having to go to the bar downstairs to exchange the cash. It was not the bartender’s responsibility to have the exact change available, nor was it my responsibility to solve a situation caused by your own choice, especially after I had offered an alternative payment method. The “so-called tip” mentioned in your review was exactly €3.87. It was not a tip that was requested or imposed on you; it was simply the remaining difference from the agreed amount because you did not have the correct payment available and chose not to use the card payment option. What I find most disappointing is the way you chose to handle this situation. If there was something during the experience that did not meet your expectations, it would have been much more respectful to discuss it with me directly at the time. Instead, you left without even saying goodbye to my mother, who welcomed you into her home, and then expressed all of this dissatisfaction through a review the following day. I always welcome constructive feedback and understand that not every experience can meet everyone’s expectations. However, a review should be based on concrete facts, not on assumptions about another person’s intentions or feelings. The many reviews I have received over the years tell a different story: guests who appreciated not only making pasta, but also the welcome, the atmosphere, and the time shared together. This review therefore represents a personal perception, not an objective account of what actually happened.
