Itinerario
La Fortezza di Smederevo è una delle più grandi fortezze di pianura d'Europa. Fu costruita nel 1427 e fu l'ultima capitale del regno medievale serbo prima dell'invasione ottomana a metà del XV secolo. Con numerose torri rappresenta perfettamente la costruzione delle fortificazioni difensive.
Costruita dal sultano ottomano Bayazeed II su una collina sulla riva destra del Danubio, era una fortezza strategicamente molto importante e una delle prime fortezze di artiglieria in Europa.
Ben nota come Guardiana del Danubio, la fortezza di Golubac sorveglia l'ingresso della gola delle Porte di Ferro. Mai conquistato da alcun esercito, cambiò solo padrone attraverso accordi politici. Imparerai tutte le storie dietro questa magnifica struttura.

Excellent full day tour through eastern Serbia visiting some incredible historic sites along the Danube. The itinerary included Smederevo Fortress, Ram Fortress, Golubac Fortress and Silver Lake, and every stop had something completely different to offer. A big positive was that it was a very small group with only four of us plus our driver Igor, which made the whole experience far more relaxed, personal and flexible than a large bus tour. Golubac Fortress was definitely a standout. The location overlooking the Danube is spectacular and the history inside the fortress is fascinating, including the recently opened archaeological areas with Roman remains, Ottoman bathhouses and original Roman bricks stamped by Roman legions nearly 2,000 years ago. We also got to see a live peregrine falcon and owl demonstration inside the fortress which made the experience even more memorable. The food during the trip was outstanding as well. Igor chose an amazing local restaurant with fantastic Serbian food and a beautiful setting, which really added to the experience. Special thanks to our driver Igor who was excellent throughout the entire trip. Friendly, professional, knowledgeable and made the day run smoothly from start to finish. Highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to explore beyond Belgrade and experience the history and landscapes of Serbia.

If you want to get a picture of the Serbian reality around Belgrade, I would say that this experience is a must.
