La tua guida ti verrà a prendere alle 9:00 dal tuo hotel, grazie alla splendida vista dal punto di vista di "Cruz Loma" (4.100 m. - 13.451 piedi) sul vulcano Pichincha.
Per arrivarci farai un giro in funivia che impiega dai 10 ai 15 minuti a tratta, a seconda delle condizioni atmosferiche. Si parte da un'altitudine di 3.045 metri sul livello del mare (9.990 piedi), fino a raggiungere i 4.100 metri in alto (13.451 piedi). Godrai di una vista indimenticabile di Quito e, se il tempo lo aiuta, degli incredibili vulcani innevati: Cotopaxi (5.898 m), Antisana (5.753 m) e Cayambe (5.790 m).
Nel pomeriggio visiterai la città coloniale di Quito, che è il primo sito del patrimonio culturale mondiale (UNESCO 1978). This was a fun tour for a small group. We saw amazing views at the top of the cable car. We enjoyed learning about the city. The chocolate tasting was great. Our tour guide, Ximena, was the best. She was knowledgeable and made sure that we were having fun!

This tour was a great way to see the highlights of Quito in a half day. Guide Ximena is a Quito native and knew all the interesting places to go, and when to get there to avoid crowds. The tour started and ended at the front door of my hotel, so this was a no-hassle way to tour Quito.

We loved our guide Diana and our driver Marcelo was excellent. For our first full day in Quito, we booked this Ecuador’s Best Tour of the city. We live at sea level in Seattle and wanted to take it easy due to Quito’s high elevation. We were also concerned about safety in an unfamiliar city after a couple of days of exhausting travel. So we appreciated the guide and driver very much. We enjoyed every stop on our tour. Diana walked with us every step of the way, patiently answered all of our questions and helped us understand the culture of Ecuador. Later, after we got back from the Galapagos, we learned that some of the group members had gone exploring on their own and were robbed of expensive items in Old Quito, so I was especially appreciative of the excellent guidance of Diana and Marcelo. I never felt unsafe, and Quito has a better police presence than Seattle, including touristic police, but as a stranger in a new city, we can be at a disadvantage on our own, even though we use money belts and phone lanyards when traveling.

It was a great view, but the trail,after the cable car was quite challenging to make it to the top of the mountainside which is at over 9,000 feet

Prompt hotel pick up with itinerary including teleferico and El Panecillo providing value to what is otherwise a short City centre walking tour. Good explanations about the city and its development. Can be cool at the top of the cable car ride. Bring your own water - none was offered.
