Fotografa centinaia di colibrì appena atterrati sulle tue mani, tucani e molte altre creature esotiche da una distanza molto ravvicinata!! Godetevi una vista spettacolare della "foresta di nuvole" da una funivia, e fare un'escursione attraverso un affascinante santuario cascata...!!

Mindo – Nambillo è una riserva ecologica, con circa 22.000 ettari di foresta primaria. All’interno di quest’area preservata possiamo trovare un complesso naturale di 15 cascate, ognuna delle quali con un’altezza e una bellezza diverse! La tua Guida ti verrà a prendere alle 8: 00 dal tuo hotel a Quito, per visitare questo luogo affascinante pieno di fauna selvatica!
Una volta a 1.900 metri sul livello del mare (6.233 piedi), colibrì, piante d'aria, orchidee e altre sorprendenti specie esotiche prenderanno la nostra piena attenzione! Dopo aver percorso tutta la strada sinuosa, ci fermeremo in una fattoria di colibrì per goderci esperienze mozzafiato con queste piccole creature e il paesaggio sorprendente.
Dopo aver scattato un sacco di foto e video al rallentatore, ti rilasserai con una tazza di caffè in una piantagione di caffè locale. Quindi guiderai fino al villaggio di Mindo, che si trova al margine meridionale dei punti caldi della biodiversità Choco / Andina che si estende dalla Colombia sud-occidentale all'Ecuador nord-occidentale. L'area di Mindo ha importanza internazionale per gli uccelli, designata come la prima area in Sud America da Birdlife International nel 1997. Su questo incantevole regno verde una profusione di vita attende la tua scoperta! Per questo farete un giro in funivia che attraversa una funivia lunga 530 metri, per godervi i paesaggi dall’altra parte delle montagne!
Dopo l’indimenticabile giro in funivia, sarà possibile fare un’escursione di circa 1 ora, a seconda delle proprie condizioni fisiche, per visitare la cascata più bella conosciuta come “Nambillo”, dove si potrebbe fare un bagno rinfrescante! La tua visita guidata privata ti farà conoscere l'esuberante vegetazione della foresta nuvolosa, la sua avifauna e gli affascinanti adattamenti alla vita in questo ambiente speciale.
Avrete tempo per il pranzo, se lo riterrete necessario. Allora avrai un dessert indimenticabile ed educativo in un tour di degustazione di cioccolato!
Se rimane un po’ di tempo sarà possibile fare una visita ad un orchidea e ad un allevamento di farfalle. Approssimativamente alle 17:30 sarete di nuovo nel vostro hotel di Quito. Fine di questa fantastica esperienza in una giornata ricca di meravigliose scoperte!

Luis was a fabulous guide. Our day was absolutely the test. We visited the Mindo Cloud Forest and saw the hummingbirds as well as other birds (San Tadeo Birding), visited Mariposas de Mindo for the butterflies. We had a delicious lunch in Mindo. Was a great day!

I love that our tour guide, Deanna, was as passionate about the environment as we were! Because she was so in tune with the experience we were able to see toucans! The entire experience was perfect. We loved the hike to the waterfall and the cable car ride! The Hummingbird Farm was a definite highlight.

This was a terrific one day trip. We did the Hummingbirds, Butterfly area, waterfall hike and the chocolate factory. We had a terrific experience and Ximena was a wonderful guide. Our group was 12 people ranging from 15- 78 and there was enough to do at each location to interest everyone. I would definitely book this experience again on another trip to Ecuador.

Ivan was prompt and professional. He tailored our trip what we wanted to see and do. We saw and did some amazing things. But the highlight was by far the birds and humming birds. He gave us the option of 2 farms and it was well worth going to the more exclusive one! I could have sat there all day. Ivan was a wealth of knowledge and I would highly recommend!

The trip to Mindo was fantastic. We were able to choose from several activities presented by our guide to fill in our day. We chose; a walk to a waterfall, viewing hummingbirds, riding a zip line bicycle, taking a gondola ride and having a chocolate tasting activities. Note that most activities have a small fee associated with them outside of booking the guide. From $5 -&10 dollars. Our favorites were the bird watching where we were surrounded by incredibly diverse and beautiful hummingbirds and chocolate tasting where we were walked through all of the steps required to make chocolate from cocao beans then we tasted various flavors of chocolate as well as other chocolate products. Ximena, our guide led us through all activities and provided tons of insight on the culture and history of the place.

This was our favorite individual day in the Quito area. Our guide Ximena was so knowledgeable and friendly. She helped us customize our day to fit in everything we wanted and made recommendations to make the experiences the best possible. She readily helped take photos for us and kept us on time. Absolutely awesome experience. I would really recommend that you go to the second hummingbird place ($10 entry), it is hidden away but it is SO worth it. Our guide Miriam was informative, friendly, funny and relaxed. The pacing and the activities were perfect, enjoyed every moment. Thanks so much!
