Very well organized and the guide communicated the elevation gain and intense winds prior to departing for the trek
Cotopaxi is an amazing hike. We were picked up by Fernando our guide at 7am. The Cotopaxi National Reserve itself is pretty and it is amazing to see the ecosystem change as you climb higher. The road inside the national park is not paved so it is quite a bumpy ride. We were not so lucky to see Cotopaxi as it was covered by Clouds. Our hike proved to be a challenge as we were greeted by strong winds, hail stones sleet and freezing temperatures. The Refuge center and its hot chocolate was a welcome respite after 45 - 60 mins hike. The hike down is through ankle deep volcanic ash, making the descent equally challenging. Fernando the guide was attentive to the needs of the group. Would recommend this trip but be prepared to hike in adverse weather conditions
Amazing experience in Cotopaxi! Many thanks to our guide Irene, she's been great! Irene told us many interesting things about Cotopaxi and ecuadorian culture. Very well recommended
Vey well planned trip. They pick you up from your hotel. The tour guide Irene was well informed, amazing tour guide kept a lively atmosphere, and ensured everyone got to see what they wanted. 100% would do again. Day outline: Pickup, museum, bathroom break, the volcano, hike and enjoy, pictures, lagoon, bathroom, restaurant, relax and be driven home. Perfect 👌
This was a wonderful excursion and I highly recommend it to anyone considering a day trip to Cotopaxi! Jorge was a great guide and Jonathan a talented driver. All the stops were excellent and the entire trip was super comfortable. You don’t have to hike up to the refuge unless you want to so this is good for active hikers and the curious alike. Also, the trip included people from around the world but especially Latin America and even Ecuador — that’s how you know it’s really good!
It was perfect, Irene, the guide, are very atencious and happy
Irene as a guide for Baños is excellent. Veronica for Cotopaxi and Otavalo is also very good. Recommended. Fast service, good price, and very attentive.
I did the Cotopaxi 1 day tour on Tuesday August 4th and it was an amazing tour, it was one of the best experiences I ever had, and I’m a well traveled person. The tour wouldn’t be as spectacular as it was without the help of our amazing tour guide Jesica. She was a very knowledgeable and experienced tour guide. She went the extra mile to make sure we had an outstanding experience each of every step of the tour. I highly recommend this tour. Do yourself a favor and ask for Jesica to be your tour guide if possible.
This tour was absolutely excellent—truly phenomenal from start to finish. I would gladly pay three times the price for this experience. Jesica was an amazing guide. She explained everything in great detail, was incredibly knowledgeable, and made every stop engaging and meaningful. Her passion and professionalism made the entire tour unforgettable. Our bus driver was equally phenomenal. He kept everything running smoothly, made sure everyone was back on the bus on time, and stayed on schedule without ever making us feel rushed. His organization and professionalism ensured the day flowed seamlessly. This was one of the best tours I have ever taken. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an outstanding experience. Thank you, Jessica and our driver, for making this such a memorable trip!
The Cotopaxi tour was wonderful! Such an amazing experience. Our guide Jessica and the driver Andres were super helpful and great at what they do! Took us to a place to get breakfast (not included on shared tour, private tours include the breakfast cost) Also took our orders for lunch at Rodendor restaurant at the exit of Cotopaxi (Also not included but cheap, not much food per plate) This definitely is an all day event. 7am approximately till about 6pm. For those that want to do this hike at Cotopaxi, just know it is physically intense. Very high elevation, very steep grade to hike. Mandatory come prepared with correct clothing for the weather. Started off nice and sunny and turns very windy, rainy, cloudy. And conditions change rapidly. This is not for a casual walk around the park. We were able to do the hike with MANY breaks to catch our breath with our 7year old son. Took us about 1 hour and 45 minutes. This is just general info for others to know but this tour was definitely 5 stars! They were amazing. Recommend to all who can do the challenging hike. The views itself are worth it!
