Itinerario
Fermati a fare la spesa, acqua e cibo per fare i bagagli e portarli al Parco Nazionale.
Arriveremo alla Porta Nord del Parco Nazionale del Cotopaxi tra le 9:15 e le 9:30 circa dopo aver percorso l'Avenue of the Vulcanoes
L'equitazione sarà la prima attività lungo questa giornata per circa l'ora Oke / unica passeggiata a cavallo all'interno del parco nazionale.
Guideremo dopo la passeggiata a cavallo per circa 35 minuti da 4000 metri (12000 piedi) a 4550 metri (15000 piedi) per iniziare la parte escursionistica della giornata.
Inizieremo l'escursione fino al Basecamp obiettivo 4900 metri (16000 piedi) per circa 1 ora circa per arrivare al Refugio José Rivas. Dove possiamo mangiare e bere qualcosa.
Rimarremo qui e ci godremo l'atmosfera del Basecamp e poi scenderemo al parcheggio per iniziare il ritorno
Lasceremo la nazionale utilizzando il cancello sud/lato turistico. Circa 3 ore di ritorno dal parcheggio sul vulcano

Orario di prelievo tra le 7 : 00 alle 7 : 30 a seconda della posizione all'interno della città principale di Quito. Queste informazioni saranno confermate entro le ore 19:00 del giorno prima una volta che conosceremo il numero definitivo di partecipanti location. Se ti trovavi fuori dalle aree di pick up come : Cumbaya, Pifo, Tumbaco, Puembo, Sangolquí o Tababela (aree aeroportuali) possiamo organizzare pick up e drop off a pagamento o possiamo organizzare un posto per incontrarci con Uber.

Horse riding was fun and it did feel “wild”, but very little guidance, however still accessible even if you haven’t done any riding. The walk up to base camp isn’t too exhausting if you are fit, however make sure to acclimatise a little

A great experience from start to finish, our guide was friendly knowledgeable and attentive, the horse riding was awesome, we really enjoyed riding around the national park on the local horses and the mountain hike was as described, not touristy! We felt like we almost had the place to ourselves. Definitely recommend those wanting to see the higher side of Ecuador and visit Cotopaxi Volcano.

Just a fantastic day from start to finish. Dario was a great guide and very knowledgeable. We were given clear instructions on what to take and where to meet. Horse riding was just fabulous. Little hiccup when the weather closed in and we decided not to finish the walk up the volcano but Dario took straight down to the most beautiful lake where we had a lovely walk and saw lots of birds. Really great tour. Had a great time horseback riding around the park with the beautiful scenery. The hike up to the base camp is tough but you are able to take it slow. I recommend hiking shoes as the routes are sandy and gravely. Fatima and Dario were excellent tour guides. Highly recommend!
