Zugspitze : Excursion d'une journée en montagne au départ de Munich
Description
Cette excursion d'une journée vous emmène à travers le charmant Garmisch-Partenkirchen jusqu'au Zugspitze, la plus haute montagne d'Allemagne. Vous commencez votre ascension avec le nouveau téléphérique, qui vous mènera au sommet de la montagne de presque 3000 mètres de haut en seulement dix minutes. Après avoir profité de la vue exaltante sur plus de 400 sommets, vous pourrez explorer la campagne lors d'une courte randonnée. Pour ceux qui aiment les choses un peu plus vite, une colline de luge est disponible sur la glace éternelle pendant les mois d'été. Les luges peuvent être empruntées gratuitement. Dans les nombreux restaurants (qui proposent également des menus végétariens et halal), vous pourrez vous adonner à des délices culinaires. La descente se fait ensuite avec le chemin de fer à crémaillère historique.

Itinéraire
Après 2 heures de route depuis Munich avec commentaires en direct, vous arriverez à Eibsee. Là, vous prendrez le téléphérique jusqu'à la Zugspitze.
Après un séjour d'une heure sur la plate-forme d'observation, vous marcherez jusqu'à la croix dorée du sommet (environ 45-60 min) et à 14h environ. vous prendrez le téléphérique jusqu'à la "Zugspitzplatt" avec glacier. Vous aurez du temps à disposition pour déjeuner ou du temps pour un toboggan sur le glacier (Restaurants avec Self-Service et Halal). À env. 16h00 Rendez-vous à la gare de Zugspitz pour descendre avec le train à crémaillère et à 16h45, vous commencerez le trajet en bus vers Munich.

What an unforgettable day at Zugspitze! From the very first moment to the last, the views were absolutely breathtaking — every turn offered something more stunning than the last. The entire trip was beautifully organized from start to finish. Our guide, Monika, made the experience truly special — she was warm, attentive, and endlessly patient with us. Our driver, Matko, did a fantastic job getting us safely and smoothly through it all. Together they made the whole day feel effortless and fun. The journey itself was magical — from the lush green valleys below, all the way up to the mountain peaks and the stunning glacier plateau at the top. Every part of the experience felt like something out of a postcard. This is truly a must-see destination, and I can’t recommend it highly enough!”

Terrible service from Viator. The pick up point in the app didn’t specify a building number (just a vast square). I messaged the day before my trip to clarify this and they gave me the wrong address. I arrived punctually at that address the morning of my trip. I was suspicious because there were no signs of a bus/other travellers. So I messaged again. Again, they told me the same address. Turns out it was completely wrong. I missed the trip and was left stranded alone with a small child. No offer to catch me up to the tour (which had only departed 4 mins before the mistake was realised). No offer of support at all. In fact, the agent on the chat started trying to position this as somehow my fault. Terrible and very upsetting experience, especially as a single parent trying to travel alone with a child like any other family.

As the tour had already departed from the designated meeting point, our team was unfortunately unable to delay the scheduled excursion or arrange an individual pickup after departure. We fully understand your frustration, particularly as you had actively tried to verify the correct location beforehand. We therefore recommend addressing the matter directly with Viator, as they provided the incorrect meeting-point information and handled the communication described in your review. We sincerely regret that this prevented you and your child from joining our Zugspitze tour as planned.

Stunning views from the Bavarian Alps. We had a perfect day weather wise. The Zugspitze cable car is stunning. The cogwheel train down was great too. Got to see a glacier for the first time and had a lovely meal and beer at the top of Zugspitze
