Une chance de découvrir le magnifique parc national des Yorkshire Dales et de voir le paysage et les paysages qui ont inspiré James Herriot. Vous visiterez les lieux utilisés dans la série actuelle de Toutes les créatures grandes et petites comme le village de Grassington, qui est actuellement utilisé comme Darrowby dans la série. Vous traverserez des villages et passerez des cols en admirant la vue et en admirant cela dans un paysage magnifique. Vous vous arrêterez au château de Bolton où Herriot a demandé sa femme en mariage et a été l'endroit préféré de l'auteur.

Explorez le charmant village de Grassington, rempli de rues pavées, de boutiques locales et de pubs. Le village est utilisé comme Darrowby dans le tournage de All Creatures Great & Small.
Visitez la célèbre Wensleydale Creamery dans le bourg de Hawes. Goûtez leur fromage primé et un favori personnel du personnage de télévision Wallace & Gromit.
Découvrez les magnifiques cascades d'Aysgarth. Cela fait un arrêt impressionnant sur votre tour et fait une image parfaite.
Visitez le château médiéval de Bolton, autrefois une prison pour Marie Reine d'Écosse, ce magnifique château a une vue imprenable sur Wensleydale. This was one of our favorite tours of our trip. We loved our guide who was knowledgeable and funny, and had a gentle spirit. It was a beautiful day driving through the hills and dales through and to communities we have become familiar with through the James Herriot series. I recommend this one very highly!

Our driver/tour guide was Barry (along with Billy, the goat). We had SUCH a great experience. Barry seems to actually know everything it is possible to know about Yorkshire. He gave constant, interesting commentary the whole trip so we were never bored, and he was able to answer every question we had. (Perhaps this sounds like it could be annoying, someone talking for eight hours? It really was just pleasant and fascinating. Barry has a good delivery that's gentle on the ear.) And of course, the Dales were gorgeous. I had thought that we would be seeing sights from the books - so the actual places James Alf White stayed and went and did things in, but it was more a tour of filming locations for the two television series. Honestly we didn't care - it was lovely. Recommend hands down.

Well-organized trip through a magnificent landscape. However, I could only partially follow the driver's explanations and descriptions. A sheet of explanations in German (and of course other languages) would be helpful. I also did not understand why passengers received a senior discount. I was not offered it.

Had a wonderful tour of the Dales/All Creatures Great & Small filming locations with Bob. He was such a great guide, lots of stories and anecdotes. I’m sure he’s told them one hundred times but you’d never know, it all sounded so natural and enthusiastic. Great tour with lots of interesting stops and information. The bus was so comfortable especially in the heatwave. Would highly recommend this to anyone and honestly the ACGAS show isn’t the focus, which was fine with us as though we are fans of it, we mainly took the tour for the Dales. It was fun to see locations we recognize from the show though! There are other stops as well. A highlight of our trip, we all enjoyed it very much! Thanks so much Bob for a great day.

Our day trip into the Dales was really good - Ben A. was an excellent, knowledgeable, warm, caring and friendly guide and dealt admirably with a massive thunderstorm on our way back to York, navigating flooded roads and making us all feel safe. The landscape was beautiful and the historic villages and castles were a joy to visit. Only one complaint - the minibus was advertised as air conditioned but its system was clearly not up to the task of dealing with the heatwave happening right now...it was extremely uncomfortable on the bus for most of the day because of that. Other than that, we would highly recommend this tour and a big thank you to Ben for being so great at what must be at times a very challenging job.

Excellent thoroughly enjoyed a very hot day. But air con was great in the bus. Driver Barry was top class had water for anyone who needed it. Also very helpful and informative.
