Mad Alice was absolutely brilliant! She was incredibly knowledgeable, personable and very funny, making the whole tour entertaining from start to finish. Her storytelling was fantastic, and you could really tell she loves what she does. A proper Yorkshire lass with plenty of character! Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking for a fun, spooky and entertaining way to experience York. 👻💀
Had an amazing time! Alice took the time to meet and get to know all of us. She is knowledgeable, witty, dramatic, improvisational and kept us all entertained the entire time. The audience participation parts were fun and hysterical. Yes, some of the folklore of York repeats at a variety of venues - these are the pillars of York history and it helps to remember it when it repeats in engaging ways. Also, it’s the gift that keeps on giving because I would pay another fifteen pounds just to continue reading her responses to the very few negative reviews! Keep it up, Alice! You’re a pro!

If you are planning on going to York, this MUST be at the top of the ‘to do list’! Mad Alice was an incredible guide around the city; unbelievably funny, approachable and a fountain of information! We could not recommend this tour enough, we will be back!
We were not sure what to expect when we booked this tour but must say that we had the best time with Mad Alice. We learned a few facts in a very entertaining way. Alice has an amazing talent for remembering everybody's name that are on her tour. I think she engaged with everybody on our tour (which must have been about 50 people). Very impressive. Excellent you’re really good to see and learn the history of York. Guide was amazing and involved everyone which was great it was also very funny. Well worth a tour and I would definately do again
A wonderfully led tour covering 2000 years of York’s bloody history. Expertly guided through the streets of this beautiful city. The wheelchair user in our group was fully supported throughout and the guide made sure he had the smoothest ride over the old (many times cobbled) streets. We learned lots of new facts and dates and will look at the buildings a little bit differently now. What a great tour a must book.

If you don’t do anything else whilst in York, make time for Mad Alice’s Bloody Tour! The tour is witty, poignant, heartfelt and funny. Not least because of the wonderful places of York and the vast history you learn of, but because of the true heart of the amazing attraction - Alice! From meeting at College Street, she has you captivated, hanging on to every word. She holds her audience with perfection - remembers all names within the group, where people are from and small details. Her knowledge is exceptional and her performance sublime. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour, and would do it again in a heartbeat, just to listen to Alice’s stories!
