Just ended our private tour today at Neuschwanstein castle with Special Private Tours. We had a great time today with all things wonderfully arranged in perfect timing. As the place is filled with tourists, every minute where we stood and when we arrived was crucial that would make or break our experience. Amir, our guide was very friendly and professional. He took great care of us. He is a very knowledgeable historian and what he shared deepened our appreciation for King Ludwig II and his kingdom even before we stepped into the entrance of the castle. That’s a real bonus to our tour. Frankly, the actual tour in the castle by the official guide, is not so much of a guide. We had to listen to the audio guides throughout though on the website it was stated these were only needed for non-English/German visitors.

The castle itself is stunningly gorgeous, but having a private guide to share so many amazing facts made the trip that much better. We are traveling Europe with our son, who just graduated college and this was one of the locations we all agreed we needed to visit. Amir picked us up from our hotel, and already had the AC running, which was a blessing as most the unusually hot weather here. He shared so many facts in a fun and relaxing way. He knew how to manage the crowds, ensuring a smooth and stress free visit. At the end he had special treats waiting for us along with the horse drawn carriage ride down the hill. This tour was worth every penny! Paul picked us up promptly from our hotel and we were able to park and walk to the bus stop with ease. We were able to get on the bus first without the hassle of the crowd. The return trip was just as expedient and that made the whole day so easy. Paul was an amazing guide!
