Fantastic Up Close view with great guide!

Our tour guide Roberta was fantastic! We spoke very little Italian, but our tour was fantastic due to Roberta's knowledge of the process and previous life as a translator. Our tour started off early at the parmigiano dairy where we were able to see the cheesemakers perform every step of the process up close while Roberta explained what they were doing and why, the history behind the process and innovations, plus how parmigiano production fit into the larger food and history of the Emilia-Romagna area. We capped off with a tasting and then headed to the vinegar producer where we had the same (fantastic) experience.

WONDERFUL experience

A truly wonderful experience! The tour of Parmigiano Reggiano and Balsamic Vinegar was organized impeccably, with an authentic and well-curated atmosphere, almost like a boutique experience. Discovering the gastronomic excellence of Emilia

We decided to spend a weekend with friends to discover the gastronomic excellence of Emilia and this tour proved to be the perfect choice. The producers selected by Michelle are small family businesses. We were struck by the very high quality of the products, far superior to those usually found in large retailers. The preparation of our guide allowed us to understand all the stages of processing in detail and to appreciate the characteristics of Parmigiano Reggiano as we had never done, through a guided tasting. We will turn again to Artemilia when we return to Emilia-Romagna, thanks Michelle!

Great competence and professionalism

I booked the tour to discover Parmigiano Reggiano and Traditional Balsamic Vinegar as a gift for some customers. They contacted me at the end of the visit to thank me, they were enthusiastic and complimented the authenticity of the experience and the professionalism of the guide who accompanied them. Great foodie and history tour of Parma

Michelle Baleria Costo is a fabulous guide. She not only knows the history of the city she knows the history of the food. She took us to her favorite food shops in the city and taught us about the cheese , ham and balsamic vinegar. Then we continued to learn about the pastas. After which we learned about the gelato and then the cakes and cookies of Parma. It was a great day of eating and learning about Parma. I highly recommend this trip!!!

Great experience, to be repeated in the future!

The tour was really interesting, much deeper than I initially thought. My husband booked it and I thought it was a tourist experience, but we actually visited with a private tour (it was just the two of us) small family businesses and our guide Roberta was nice and engaging. You can see that he has passion for his work, we loved it! I will recommend it to all my friends traveling in the area!

An unforgettable experience for all the senses

We were in a family group and this experience will never be forgotten! Roberta was always very helpful and very patient with us, she adapted the visit to our needs and answered all our questions. It was a pleasure listening to her and discovering the behind the scenes of products we usually consume, understanding how much passion, experience and work lies behind each individual process. We have already recommended this tour to our friends, we will definitely do it again!

Wow!

Roberta was so knowledgable and fun. To learn about a unique incredible craft was magical. We had a last minute booking and she was so accommodating. Would highly recommend!!!
