Rejoignez-nous dans cette expérience unique et vivez l’aventure la plus incroyable en nageant aux côtés des doux géants de cet océan. Votre rencontre sera supervisée par nos guides très expérimentés sans oublier que vous porterez notre équipement de plongée en apnée certifié par National Geographic Snorkeler. Nous commençons l'aventure en venant vous chercher dans n'importe quel hôtel de Cancun, Riviera Maya ou Playa del Carmen pour vous emmener à notre nouvelle marina privée à Punta Sam à Cancun. Après un petit-déjeuner léger, nous embarquons et nous nous dirigeons vers la zone protégée des requins baleines où, après les avoir trouvés, nous commencerons les plongées, 2 à 3 par personne, toujours en couple et avec notre guide certifié. Avant de retourner à notre marina, nous visiterons la magnifique plage de Playa Norte à Isla Mujeres où vous aurez une heure pour vous détendre et profiter du meilleur ceviche préparé en vue par notre équipage.

Notre rencontre avec les requins-baleines commence tôt le matin et, selon l’hôtel ou le condominium où vous séjournerez, nos chauffeurs de bus expérimentés viendront vous chercher directement au hall ou à l’entrée pour vous emmener à notre nouvelle marina située dans la gare Punta Sam à Cancun. Toutes nos fourgonnettes sont des climatiseurs confortables dans des conditions idéales et tous nos chauffeurs sont autorisés à conduire du tourisme sur l’autoroute. Une fois que vous arrivez à notre marina, vous serez accueilli par notre personnel au sol et, après un rapide enregistrement, où vous serez affecté à votre bateau, vous aurez la possibilité de prendre un petit déjeuner léger avant de monter à bord. Nous partons à 7h50 et nous dirigeons directement dans la zone protégée du requin-baleine. Les gilets de sauvetage sont obligatoires à partir de la minute où vous montez à bord, toujours pour votre sécurité, qui nous préoccupe beaucoup. Après une heure, nous arrivons et trouvons les requins baleines, notre capitaine en choisira un et effectuera les manœuvres appropriées avec le bateau pour commencer les nages, toujours à deux et avec notre guide certifié, vous irez dans l'eau nager à côté cette belle créature, il y a 10 personnes sur chaque bateau, après 2 à 3 plongées par personne, pour que tout le monde ait sa chance, vous embarquerez et commencerez le retour mais, avant d'arriver à Cancun, nous avons un dernier arrêt, Playa Norte Beach à Isla Mujeres. Playa Norte est la plus belle plage d'Isla Mujeres et, considérée comme l'une des plus belles plages du monde, vous aurez ici une heure pour vous détendre ou, si vous le souhaitez, faire de la plongée en apnée. Notre capitaine préparera son célèbre ceviche pendant que vous dégusterez votre boisson sans alcool préférée. Des sandwiches seront également disponibles. Ensuite, nous retournons à notre marina de Cancun où nos camionnettes vous attendront prêtes à retourner dans vos hôtels après cette merveilleuse aventure. La prise en charge dans les hôtels commence à 5h30 du matin, selon l’hôtel et la région où vous séjournez. Les bateaux sont généralement de retour à notre marina entre 13h et 14h.
Après l'aventure des requins-baleines, détendez-vous à la paradisiaque Playa Norte, où vous pourrez également déguster un ceviche frais préparé par le capitaine.

The experience of swimming with Whale Sharks is amazing. It's hard to compare it to anything else. You start the excursion by being taking by a transport to the pier/dock in Cancun. When you get there, you are given a light breakfast consisting of different types of breads or fruit. From there you take a one-hour boat out in the ocean. You begin searching for whale sharks by looking for fins on the surface. Once your boat, or another boat finds them (no way to tell how long that will take) your boat heads to where they are located. Our trip had about twenty or so whale sharks, which sounds great. The bad part of the trip and the most stressful is that there are about fifteen to twenty other boats that have to do a circle dance around the whale sharks to get you in the water. Your captain will maneuver the boat within about ten feet of the whale shark and you and a partner jump into the water with your guide. You IMMEDIATELY have to start swimming fast to spot the whale shark and keep swimming with it, they are fast! You land in the water within about six feet or so of the whale shark. After swimming a few minutes with it, you circle back to your boat and get picked up and then the next couple gets ready to jump in. This cycle continues until you swim about three times per couple on the boat. You are free to bring your own waterproof camera. Make sure the camera is strapped to your wrist and secure. The experience is AMAZING. The only downside and nerve wrecking part of the excursion is all of the other boats and the "dance" they have to do to maneuver to drop off their divers and pick them up and reposition to find another whale shark. That part was not fun, but that's just part of it I suppose. Definitely a worth-while experience though. After the experience, they took you to Isla Mujeres in the beach area and let you in the water for about twenty minutes to either swim or eat some food they prepare for you. After that you end up back in the port area to await your transport back to your hotel/resort.
It was an awesome experience! We had Nae and I think the driver was Julian? I don’t remember but it was a great experience. We got to enjoy the beautiful ocean atmosphere while swimming with the whale sharks and Nae did his best to guide us to the best spots to see the whale sharks and get the best possible experience. We were there at around 6:50ish and got back around 12:30. Seeing whale sharks is something I wanted to do for a while and i’m glad I chose the right program to book with! There’s a perfect amount of people on the boat and everyone gets along with each other because of that. Nae and Julian made the best food and made sure to keep offering us water and food to make sure we weren’t dehydrated. So fun and I 100% recommend!!
Was one of the best tours we ever did, from the snorkeling with the whale sharks to the nice north beach on the island everything was wonderful. There are so many options and at first didn't knew where to book, but after dealing with with Nancy the most friendly customer service I ever had we booked through xpotours.com
This was a fabulous experience. Fyi boat ride in was pretty long (1 to 1.5 hrs) and can be rough so take something if you get seasick. Saw 3 whale sharks they were beautiful, water was warm and the guide was great! We went with Ney and Julian. Julian drove excellently , Ney was really helpful. Cerviche was yum drinks were nice and cold. Water was crystal clear and warm at Isa De Mujeres. Would definitely recommend!

Absolutely incredible to see and swim with so many whale sharks! Luigi and Enriquez were both brilliant and made sure that we all got our chance of a lifetime. Only reason to give less than 5 stars is it’s disappointing I paid $225 through our hotel and I can see it actually costs $187 on here.

Well worth the price paid. A little hiccup with pricing through the resort, but once the owner found out, she reached out directly and made it right. Nothing but great things to say about our guides Sindy and Isaac. Sindy was amazing with some of the weaker swimmers in our group and took them by the hand, while simultaneously taking great videos and photos. Well worth the experience!
If you’re considering a whale shark tour, stop searching and book with Contoy Adventures immediately! If you can request a guide and captain I recommend Sindy and Captain Issac (I think that was his name) This was hands down one of the most incredible, unforgettable experiences I’ve ever had, and it exceeded every expectation. We did the tour on June 4th 2026 and from the moment we arrived, Sindy and Issac made us feel completely comfortable, welcomed, and most importantly, safe. Their professionalism, knowledge, and genuine passion for what they do were evident throughout the entire tour. They took the time to thoroughly explain everything, answer questions, and ensure that everyone felt confident and prepared before getting in the water. Safety was clearly their top priority, which allowed us to relax and fully enjoy the experience. They constantly monitored conditions, provided clear instructions, and made sure every guest was comfortable while still creating an exciting and adventurous atmosphere. The wildlife was INSANE! We saw an unbelievable number of whale sharks throughout the tour. Every time we thought it couldn’t get any better, another massive whale shark would appear. The encounters were absolutely breathtaking and felt like something out of a nature documentary. Getting to swim alongside these gentle giants was a bucket list item. As if that wasn’t enough, we also saw tons of manta rays! It seemed like everywhere we looked there was another incredible marine animal. The abundance of wildlife was beyond anything we expected, and it’s clear that Sindy and Issac know exactly where to go and how to maximize the experience while remaining respectful of the animals and their environment. What really set this tour apart was the enthusiasm and energy Sindy and Issac brought to the day. You could tell they genuinely cared about giving everyone an amazing experience. Their excitement was contagious, and they celebrated every sighting right along with us. It felt less like a commercial tour and more like spending the day with knowledgeable friends who wanted to share something truly special. Sindy not only guides you while you’re in the water but literally held my hand through the expirence This was easily one of the best tours I’ve ever been on and one of the most memorable experiences of my life. Incredible wildlife, outstanding guides, exceptional safety standards, and memories that will last forever. I cannot recommend Contoy Tours with Sindy and Issac highly enough. If you’re lucky enough to book a tour with them, you’re in for an absolutely amazing adventure. Also shout out to Sindy for being an awarded whale shark tour guide!! Five stars isn’t enough, they deserve ten!
Incredible experience! We had the good fortune of Manta Rays swimming with the whale sharks for an added bonus. Nate our guide was the best. We have 2 daughters ages 9 & 11 and he made sure they had a great experience and opportunity to see everything. Great crew and captain! Highly recommend
