El Museo de Arte de Nueva Orleans alberga una colección de más de 40,000 objetos que incluyen obras de Picasso, Matisse, Monet, Pollock, Renoir, y Edgar Degas, quien vivió en Nueva Orleans por un corto tiempo. La arquitectura da la impresión de un templo griego, ligeramente modificado, lo que sugiere un aspecto más subtropical con la inclusión de un techo de tejas españolas.
El Jardín Botánico de Nueva Orleans es el primer jardín clásico de Nueva Orleans. Fue financiado por la Administración de Progreso de Obras.
Hay más de 30,000 árboles maduros en City Park, que incluyen roble vivo, ciprés calvo, magnolia, pino, arce, mirto, palmera y nuez. Aunque el parque perdió más de 2,000 árboles durante el huracán Katrina, se han plantado más de 5,000 reemplazos.

It's a good walk in a beautiful park. We really like the self guided audio tours because we go at our own pace. Two people can share a pair of Bluetooth ear buds so it is also a great value over a tour with a guide.

I’m sorry, our walk was cut very short due to a pouring rain storm, so we went into the art museum. From the little we heard we think it would have been good fun.
