The beginning of our trip was rocky, to say the least. We arrived at the venue and immediately had issues with parking. After that, we asked one of the bus guides where we needed to go to check in, and the interaction was extremely disappointing. Instead of providing directions, the guide belittled me, questioned whether I could read, and told me that if I “didn’t come on a bus, I wasn’t getting on one.” As I continued trying to ask for help, she mocked me rather than offering any assistance. Thankfully, another passenger stepped in and gave us the directions we needed because none of the staff members nearby were willing to help. The check-in process wasn’t much better. The staff were dismissive and rushed making us feel like we were an inconvenience rather than paying customers. The only redeeming part of the experience was our captain, Bobby. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely made the remainder of the trip enjoyable. His professionalism and enthusiasm completely changed the experience for us. If it weren’t for Captain Bobby, this would have been a one-star review.
History was very informative. Learned a lot about Louisiana swamps. Enjoyed seeing the alligators up and close. The guide was funny and knowledgeable
Captain Bobby was awesome! He gave some really good information and was very fascinating. The tour was really engaging, entertaining and informative. The time out on the swamp was really nice. It was really intriguing to hear about the impact of the hurricanes on the environment and what people are doing to try and remedy it.
Very fun and informative tour, first time in a swamp and I’m glad to have had Captain Ernie as my Captain and guide.
We had a lot of fun on the tour boat with captain Bobby. We had planned the air boat but our 6 year old wasn’t tall enough. 48 inches is the minimum. We saw plenty of gators and other wildlife.
Our swamp tour with Captain Barefoot Billy was a fun experience. If you’re looking for an adventure with plenty laughs this is it. Captain Barefoot Billy is knowledgeable, keeps the tour fun, and has a way with the gators that’s great to watch. He’s definitely a daredevil and a true gator whisperer! From learning about the wildlife to getting up close with a baby alligator, every minute was worth it. I highly recommend this tour if you’re in the area—you won’t be disappointed!
It was great awesome I recommend you have to do it
Captain Ernie was the best! Very friendly, very informative and funny as hell!!!
The SWAMP TOUR was amazing and educational. The swamp itself is truly a beautiful habitat. Our tour guide, the one that had the past alligator bite, was witty and knowledgeable about the alligators. His honest experiences with being a tour guide made the experience that more valuable. I had the SWAMP BOAT experience and the boat ride itself was very relaxing and well worth it. The whole experience was personal and worth it 20/10. Everything and everyone was truly perfect. Also.... the check in process was very easy and straight forward.
The tour guide Ernie was the best. Very informative and cool. We saw a lot of alligators and he gave us the history of the area.
