Realice un recorrido de 2 a 3 horas en kayak y canoa por el histórico pantano de Manchac. Un naturalista local de Luisiana lo guía a través del histórico pantano de Manchac y le explica información histórica y el ecosistema nativo. Lo pueden recoger en el histórico mercado de St. Roch, justo afuera del Barrio Francés, o puede conducir usted mismo el corto trayecto de 30 minutos hasta el lugar del recorrido. El grupo se reunirá en el punto de inicio del viaje y se dará una charla introductoria sobre cómo navegar en kayak por el pantano. Luego entrará en su kayak y seguirá a su guía a través del pintoresco pantano de Manchac, un pantano de movimiento lento que alguna vez fue el hogar de la destruida ciudad fantasma maderera de Ruddock, Luisiana, y sirvió como paso para los exploradores históricos de Nueva Orleans; Iberville, Biennville y más. Se harán paradas en el camino y su guía le enseñará sobre la historia y la vida silvestre del pantano. La duración del recorrido es de 2 a 3 horas, dependiendo de la experiencia en kayak del grupo. Kayaking on Manchac is magical. The calm of the water, the quiet of the surroundings, watching wildlife in its element was a treasure. We had a smaller alligator within about 2-3 feet from our canoes, completely unfazed by our presence. Our guide, AJ, was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive throughout our tour. It was nice to step away from the bustle of the city and surround ourselves in the wetlands.
The guide was very knowledgeable, we learned so much. The day was a very fun adventure. I would recommend.
Absolutely beautiful day on the bayou, with AJ who was an awesome experienced and local guide. He spotted many gators and birds and plants for us, and shared so much information on the local history. Highly recommend!
Quiet walk with layas in the swamp. The truth being so “intimate”, meaning small boats, we thought it would be more entertaining. We only got to see two lizards and nothing else. They didn't give us much information during the experience either.

Odd leaving a review because we got thunder/lightening stormed out and it was cancelled. I can not say enough about the communication and thought for our wellbeing that went into the decision to cancel. I highly respect the people running this tour. Our money was returned within an hour. We will try again next time in NOLA.
