Raffle was amazing! He was very knowledgeable, and funny. The places he took us had good food, and clean restrooms. I would recommend and return to all three of the restaurants he took us to. And I would definitely recommend taking the tour with Raffle.
Really great experience from a real local. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to hear about new Orleans culture and history, while enjoying great food.
The "Taste of Nawlins" walking tour was absolutely AMAZING! Raffle was our tour guide and he is definitely a tour guide I will never forget. The pick up spot was easy to get to and be picked up from via UBER. Raffle sent a text out hours before the tour introducing himself and confirming our pick up spot and time. Raffle was very personable and had us laughing from start to finish. He grew up in New Orleans and was very knowledgeable about the area and the preparation of different cuisine in the area. He gave us a mixture of the city history, his family history, and the restaurants we visited. We visited 3 different restaurants. Raffle was known by numerous restaurant workers and owners as we walked through the French Quarters. We taste tested red beans and rice, etouffee, jambalaya, etc. with Raffle sharing recipes that locals use to get particular flavors and the history of how the foods came to be. After the tour he escorted us back to the area of the starting point and gave directions for different street we could use to be picked up or different places we could go to for dessert. This tour was even better than what I was hoping for and Raffle's engaging personality was the defining line. All the history of his city, family, and restaurants connected perfectly leading to an authentic food experience with an excellent local host.
The New Orleans food tour was a cool way to experience the city’s culture through its cuisine. Every stop featured delicious local staples that showcased the unique flavors and traditions of New Orleans. Our guide shared fascinating stories about the history behind each dish and offered recommendations that only a local would know. It was the perfect blend of amazing food, rich culture, and insider knowledge. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to experience the authentic taste of New Orleans.
Raffle was great and a very knowledgeable tour guide. He was super friendly and was happy to answer all questions. The food was delicious, my only complaint that there wasn’t more food lol. Would absolutely do again!
We had Raffle as our guide. He was Fantastic, friendly, and a whole lot of personality. The samples were the perfect size. I would definitely recommend m.
it was a great tour, the tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny. the food was amazing and the restaurants were very accommodating.
My husband and I set up multiple food tours of the French Quarter for our wedding anniversary trip. We had Raffle as our guide and we loved his personality and the history he shared with us. We also enjoyed the fact that the restaurants were all part of the Oceana family.
This was a fascinating tour and Raff was a fantastic tour guide who not only grew up in the French Quarter, but he’s a very knowledgeable cook as well and shared how the dishes are made. We felt like we’d had a hearty meal by the end of the tour. It’s a tasting tour so come hungry!
Omg!!!! What an amazing tour. Raffle our guide was knowledgeable and and spoke organically about the culture of New Orleans. He was funny and energetic. The food stops were great. Having been to New Orleans multiple times we had already experienced 2 out of the 3 stops on the tour. However ; we were able to experienced flavors we had not savored before. Also learned on this tour from raffle the difference between Cajun and creole cooking and the history thereof. Honestly if you're looking for a great tasting tour that's fun and tasty dont miss this one. Promise you won't be disappointed
