A really well planned excursion. All the information on pick up was clear with a detailed itinerary for the day. There was a wildfire on the line which caused big delays but the company helped to ensure we get there and rearranged our transport and tickets to ensure we didn’t miss out on anything. We had a 2 hour tour at macchu picchu and the guide was very knowledgeable. We had a great experience thank you :)
Great experience. The team contacted me with instructions. 2 days before. Organized pick up and throughput during the day. Miguel, our guide was knowledgeable, kind and much aware of picture needs and he did the timekeeping so we could enjoy Pachamama.
Miguel was such an amazing tour guide . I learned a lot as a solo traveler and he made me feel very welcomed along with others on the tour. Definitely worth the money and the scenery was beautiful

Once in a lifetime visit, with a great English speaking guide, and luckily great weather. Only difficulties were bus-train and train to bus transfers where you’re handed off to different “guides”. Sometimes that was confusing. Also, the bus ride from hotel to train station is a bit rough/bumpy, so be prepared!

We are independent travelers and thought about organizing transport and a tour of Machu PIcchu on our own, but after studying this for a while, we decided a package tour would be a better choice, so after shopping around, we settled on Viator. Booking the tour was pretty easy, and we got good information from the local tour operators (via WhatsApp—if you don’t have that app, you should when you are traveling in S. America). As communicated, a van picked us up at our hotel bright and early in the day. We then picked up the other tour members in town, then headed for Ollantaytembo where we would transfer to the train. The roads were okay, but had a number of landslide detours, so we were really glad to not be driving ourselves. We got to the station with just enough time, so headed right to our coach. The view from the train was super, but have to admit that the panorama windows on the roof weren’t super useful—not sure it was worth the extra money. We did have a bit of a show enroute to our next stop, but only food for sale (I thought we got snacks on that part of the trip). We arrived at Aguas Calientes on time, were met by a local guide (Miguel?) who conducted us to our bus up the hill (2,000 feet up) on a road that was probably barely wide enough for a single car, but questionable for a bus and REALLY not wide enough for two busses to pass LOL. We arrived at Machu Picchu just before our scheduled entry time and were introduced to our tour guide, Roilly or “Roy” who turned out to be a great tour guide (as well as a mountain guide and a mountain climber, so we had a lot in common). The two of us had Roy to ourselves so we had a private tour. Sadly as we arrived at MP, my wife started to not feel well (not altitude) but Roy took that in stride and was very patient and kind to her as we took a LOT of breaks. We had requested Circuit 2, but when we arrived, we were issued tickets for Circuit 1, so a little disappointed, but we labored up the hill to the viewpoint. As we at the viewpoint, Roy asked us some questions and checked and found out that we had been ticketed for both Circuits 1 (the viewpoint) and 2 (the settlement) so he took us back down and then out on Circuit 2 and into the old town—the experience we had wanted. We walked the site, viewing the amazing buildings, seeing llamas walking around, and even a chinchilla hanging out. Finally we were out of time (and needed a bathroom) so it was time to leave. Roy escorted us to the exit, helped us to board the bus, and even recommended a place for dinner. Roy is nothing less than OUTSTANDING. We boarded our train to leave, with a 2 hour ride in the dark to Ollantaytembo, then met our driver who put us on the van for a 90 minute ride to Cusco, arriving around 11 pm—about a 17 hour day. The trip was hard with a lot of connections, but it was a spectacular tour experience!

We're especially pleased to hear how patient and supportive he was when your wife wasn't feeling well, and that he was able to ensure you enjoyed both Circuit 1 and Circuit 2, creating the experience you had hoped for. We also appreciate your honest feedback about the train experience, road conditions, and the different transfers along the journey. It’s kind of hard to write one single review for my entire experience because there were some parts that were better than others. This 5 star review is NOT my experience with this specific tour company, but only about my amazing tour guide (once we arrived at Machu Picchu) named, MIGUEL. Miguel is really great at his job! He speaks English very well so I understood everything he said. Miguel is informative and educated us on the Inca Empire. He carries around a book with him to show us visual pictures as he was explaining everything to us. I’m not someone who is really physically fit nor am I an avid hiker. But this entire experience felt very comfortable to me. Miguel was very patient, and we had plenty of time in between each section, to rest and take amazing photos. I did not feel rushed at all. We moved at a very comfortable pace. We had so much time to soak in the unreal experience. Miguel took the MOST AMAZING photos and videos! I cannot be happier with my photos. I’m so impressed with his knowledge and skills to take Instagram worthy pictures. He was instructing us where to stand, how to pose, and took his time taking plenty of pics for everyone in our group. Miguel has a great attitude! I highly highly recommend Miguel to be your guide at Machu Picchu. That was one of the best experiences ever in Perú. One that I will never forget. Even after we said our goodbyes, Miguel kindly messaged me on WhatsApp to make sure that our group got onto the train. Miguel, if you see this review, THANK YOU SO MUCH! You took the best photos that I can remember and cherish forever! You’re amazing!
Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a heartfelt review! We truly appreciate your honest feedback, and we're especially grateful for your wonderful words about Miguel. We're thrilled to hear that Miguel made your visit to Machu Picchu such a memorable experience. His passion for sharing the history of the Inca Empire, his patience, and his genuine care for every guest are exactly what we strive for. It's especially rewarding to know that he helped you feel comfortable throughout the tour, never rushed you, and captured such incredible photos and videos that you'll treasure for years to come. We'll be sure to share your kind message with Miguel—it will mean a great deal to him. Knowing that he even followed up afterward to ensure you made it safely to the train is a perfect example of the dedication he brings to every tour. Thank you again for choosing to travel with us. We're honored to have been part of such a special memory, and we hope to welcome you back to Peru for another unforgettable adventure!
