Meeting with our tour guide at Kusadasi port with your name sign. ( We have different pick up times for different cruises. The pick up time will be given during your confirmation )
Our First stop is The House of Virgin Mary is located on the Aladag Mountains 5 miles away from Ephesus. At the third Ecumenical Council on 431 AD in Ephesus, it was claimed that Mary came to Ephesus with St. John in 37 A.D. and lived there until her death in 48 A.D. After the discovery of the house, the Archbishop of Izmir declared there as a place of pilgrimage in 1892. On July 26, 1967, Pope Paul VI visited this place and prayed there.
We will have 10 mins drive to Ephesus from The House of Virgin Mary. We will start visiting one of the main highlights in Turkey, Ephesus, one of the 12 cities of Ionian League (an ancient Greek district on the western coast of Asia Minor) is located near Izmir. As a port city it was a major departure point for trade routes into Asia Minor. Walk through history along marble streets lined with wonderful public buildings, among them the Baths of Scholastica, the Library of Celsus; it was built in the beginning of the 2nd century A.D. by Gaius Julius Aquila to be a memorial to his father Gaius Julius Celsus Polemanus, the proconsul of Province of Asia. , the Temple of Hadrian and The Grand Theater are two of the most impressive buildings in Ephesus. Grand theatre was built in 3rd century B.C and it was later expanded to 24.000 spectators by the Romans in the 1st century A.D.
Visit Terrace Houses ( is included only in Private and with Terrace Houses Options only ) is located on skirt of Pion Mountain. There are 6 residential units which were built on three man-made terraces. These houses were settled by wealty citizens of Ephesus. These houses were very fancy decorated with wall frescoes and floor mosaics. There are many steps to ascend from bottom to top.
We will stop at Artemission Temple where used to be one of the seven wonders of the ancient world as our last stop before drive back to Kusadasi.
Drive back to Kusadasi through shore line of Kusadasi. We will pass by Kusadasi Marina.
Drop off in town center and/or port. The end of our services.

The meeting time at Kusadasi port varies for each ship. Generally, the meeting time is 45-60 minutes after your ship arrives. The Kusadasi Port meeting time will be sent via email. Our tour with Nejdet was AMAZING! The four of us were picked up at the cruise port and taken by an air-conditioned Mercedes van to The Virgin Mary's House and then onto Ephesus. Nejdet was so interesting and incredibly knowledgeable. Our driver was excellent. Don't hesitate for a moment - fabulous tour!! Highly recommend! AAA+++

Our guide was waiting for us at the cruise port exit and knew the history of Ephesus and the house of the Virgin Mary very well. I highly recommend this small group tour.

We had a lovely day in Kusadasi and Ephesus! Our guide, Gokcha, treated us like long friends and gave an excellent tour of the ancient city. Along the way she told us lots of fascinating info about her home country of Turkey. We enjoyed it immensely!
We did a 1/2 day tour to Ephesus, Mary's house, and a stop for a view of the Temple of Artemis. Upon getting off the cruise ship, a short walk to a gathering place with my name displaced and picked up immediately. Our tour guide, Selenay, was amazing. She was very informative on the history and the area. The area we travelled through was beautiful. She never rush us during the whole time. We wanted to learn about rug making and she had the driver drove us to this shop partners with the government. After a quick demonstration, it was clear that it's a rug business. It's also a nice touch that you pay at the end of the tour. Overall, it was a good experience.

Our guide was very good and made us all very comfortable. Since there were only 5 of us we were able to choose what we wanted to do. We really enjoyed learning about pottery and rug making in Turkey. And lunch was delicious. Thank you for a great tour.
Overall we were pleased with the tour. We chose this tour because of its itinerary (especially the terrace houses) and it delivered. The tour guide was very nice and knowledgeable. The stop for lunch for an additional fee was not needed. We were not hungry so we spent 45 minutes wandering around a local convenience store while the others ate. The tour through Ephesus was very good but slow with many stops for talks on history which seems to be typical for tours like this. The talks added a lot of interest to the tour but sometimes went on too long. We would recommend this tour.

Excellent trip. Very friendly and knowledgeable tour guide Gürkan who explained many things to us but also let us some free space to do things on our own. Small group of only 4 people which made things go smoothly. Upon our request he skipped the usually included visit to a carpet workshop. PIck up and return absolutely on time. Very much recommended
