This was far too expensive for what is there. There is one house with a good mask collection from various Malaysia indigenous peoples. Also, the house exteriors are of some interest. Unfortunately, the show has little to do with indigenous culture (the music is modern). Can’t recommend this for anyone.
A great place to learn some basic historical & cultural facts. Quite a surprising gem actually. The place seems a little past its peak but hope they get to maintain and last for many more years to come. They do have some IG-worthy, cutesy pic corners too. Love the aircond in the Kampungs for us city folks 😂 Be mindful & careful when going up & down the wooden steps as some of them are showing wear (much like a usual traditional kampung house). Maybe the photo booth at the entrance could be made more interesting with Kampung scene backgrounds and that would be our takeaway as a little piece of Malaysia Heritage Studios. We were actually more interested to take a photo with the dressed-up abang cameraman than the 3 characters there. Too bad none of us knew how to work a DSLR timer for him to join us in the photo 😆. The show presentation at the ampitheatre would have been more interesting if it demonstrated a few traditional games & musical instruments instead of just dance after dance. The team of dancers were great, but it just lacked the attention-grabbing factor after a few minutes. Audience would also be more keen to participate in playing traditional games / trying out musical instruments on stage rather than in a dance. It would create a more authentic & interactive ambience & experience. Our visit was on a Monday, 24 Nov 2025. Entry was RM81 per adult (foreigner rate). One of the 13 "houses" were under renovation at this time, but overall we did enjoy our experience. Well worth it.
