Batu Caves enchanting. I first went there 40 years ago. Cable Car smooth. The driver is good. All in all it's a good tour.
We travelled to Malaysia as 2 families so we were a group of 9. Booking this tour made the trip to Batu Caves and Genting Highlands straight forward but I wouldn't say it was value for money. Our driver was friendly and efficient and the tour operator communicated very well. The highlight was definitely the caves complex and inside the mountain. The stairs were gorgeous from afar but steep and well travelled up close. Some athleticism was needed to make the top quickly. Inside, the caves were majestic and like nothing we had seen. We were warned about not taking in fruit, for good reason, as we saw a monkey aggressively steal fruit from another visitor. It is a holy site so visitors were expected to wear trousers (not long sleeved tops though) The Genting Highlands we could have given a miss to without compromising our holiday and felt it was not worth the travel time. It is a giant mall, with attractions like theme park(s) and a casino. So unless you have not been to theme parks, malls or casinos before, you wont be missing much. It was very busy with large numbers of tourists and possibly the most expensive place we ate and shopped in all of Malaysia. The gondola ride was fun heading up as you go into the cloud cover, but that was our highlight. Interestingly we found similar attractions and rides as the indoor theme parks elsewhere in Malaysia (KL and Penang).
The scene and gandola ride The gandola ride was exhilarating Enjoyed the mall and shopping The driver was very rude. He did not even introduce himself. He did not explain anything. He rushed us through the tour.
