Roberta was an amazing tour guide. Extremely knowledgeable on the area, and how the Proscuitto de Parma and Parmigiano Reggiano is made. This is a great tour for foodies and people who like to know about food sourcing. Off the beaten path with small local food artesian. I highly recommend this company. It was a wonderful experience. Safe for solo travelers.

We had an incredible half-day experience with Eliza - she was truly remarkable. Her encyclopaedic knowledge of both geography and food, especially the Parmesan and Parma ham facilities we visited, was astounding. She was dynamic and funny and warm and entertaining and it made for a very special day for my daughter and for me. We hope that she continues to share here love of food and Parma with visitors - she's a fabulous advocate for food culture and for the entire region!

We had an awesome tour guide. Her name was Roberta. Absolutely informative, clear concise very thorough. Easy to understand easy to communicate. She was very friendly. I would highly recommend this tour, especially if you love parmigiano Reggiano cheese and prosciutto. What was also great about this tour is that it was private and you moved at your own pace. A MUST!!!!!
Hi Charles, Thank you so much for this review and for defining this tour a "must"! It’s great to hear that you enjoyed your experience with Roberta. You hit the nail on the head regarding the private tour aspect. It’s exactly what makes the experience special: the freedom to move at your own pace and dive deep into the most interesting details of the production process without any rush. Thank you for choosing us, we hope to see you again in the future. Best regards, Michelle Valeria Costa
if there is one thing you do in Parma, this should be it. this was the most informative, interesting and educational day - and it included one of the best meals as well. Michelle is so good at imparting a lot of information in an interesting way. she answers all questions. Takes pictures to document the journey and makes it a truly lovely experience. This tour takes you to several locations so you see the countryside and learn about the local culture. I cannot recommend this more highly!
Hi Julie, thank you for your enthusiastic review. Over the years, we've strived to make our experiences more in-depth, encouraging Artemilia guides to deepen their knowledge of the regional gastronomic delights, so they can better communicate their history, production technology, and sensory characteristics. Products with centuries-old or millennia-old histories deserve the right amount of time to be understood and savored. We're glad you enjoyed the traditional lunch at the hilltop farmhouse and also to hear that the experience was fun and enjoyable. We hope to have you back as our welcome guests soon. Warm regards, Michelle Valeria Costa
Our experience on this tour (last week) with our amazing guide, Lisa, was simply amazing! We booked the option with transportation included to and from Parma, and the entire day was seamless. We were first taken to a Parmiggiano Reggiano dairy and we were able to watch the entire process right there on the production floor with the cheese master and his experienced crew. It was simply incredible to watch - these people are true artists and watching them work mostly in silence with everyone just knowing what to do at all times was SO awe-inspiring. Lisa is incredibly knowledgeable about the entire process and was able to explain the ins and outs and whys down to a granular level. She kept things interesting and engaging for my two kids (10 and 11 year olds) and was so patient with them, even when they were being rowdy in the van. The tasting at the end of the production tour was also great, as we were able to taste the cheese at different stages of aging. From there we went to the Prosciutto di Parma factory - we were there on a Sunday, so unfortunately, we weren't able to see the production process (they only work on week days), but we still enjoyed walking around and looking at all the rooms and equipment and of course, the many Parma hams! Lisa brought the process to life for us with all of her extremely detailed descriptions and again, answered all of our many questions thoroughly and enthusiastically. After the tour, we tasted different varieties of ham and met the sweet owner and her daughter, and it was awesome to chat with them. We could not have asked for a better guide or a better tour. Two weeks in Italy and now that we're back home, this is the experience we're all still talking about. Also big shout out to Michelle, who was very responsive and helpful before the tour. Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience! I'd give ten stars if I could.
Hi Jennifer, Thank you for your kind words and detailed review, it means a lot to us! Warm regards, Michelle Valeria Costa

Gentile Caterina, grazie per queste parole. È stato un piacere farvi scoprire Parma e i suoi prodotti. Speriamo di potervi accogliere di nuovo in futuro e mostrarvi altri angoli nascosti della nostra bellissima regione. Cordiali saluti, Michelle Valeria Costa
Roberta Morese was an amazing tour guide. Her in-depth understanding of the production processes for both Parmigiano Reggiano and Prosciutto di Parma made our experience as enjoyable as possible. Her language skills were remarkable, and that added to our enjoyment. We couldn't be more enthusiastic about our recommendation for this activity. It's one of those "don't miss" experiences for first-time visitors to Reggio Emilia.
Dear Sheldon, Thank you for such an enthusiastic feedback! We are happy to hear that your Parmigiano Reggiano and Parma Ham Experience with Roberta was a highlight of your visit to the area. We love sharing the production processes of these iconic italian food products at a slow pace and in detail, as we believe this is the best way to appreciate their connection to their homeland and understand the impact they have on the region and the local economy today. It is wonderful to hear that you consider this experience a "not to be missed" one! Thank you again for choosing Artemilia. We hope to have you as our guests again. Kind regards Michelle Valeria Costa
Our guide, Lisa was fantastic. She provided a lot of historical knowledge about the making of parmigiana reggiano cheese and the process to cure Parma ham. She was friendly and engaging and the tour was fantastic. It gave you a great sense of pride about these family-owned business's and their contribution to the local economy. I visited with my two sisters and would highly recommend the tour to other families and individuals.
