Der Archiginnasio-Palast ist eines der bedeutendsten Gebäude in Bologna. Im Herzen des historischen Zentrums gelegen, beherbergt es seit 1838 die Stadtbibliothek. Der Palast wurde zwischen 1562 und 1563 von Kardinal Borromäus nach einem Entwurf des als Terribilia bekannten Architekten Antonio Morandi als Sitz der Universität erbaut
Sie besuchen den berühmten Anatomischen Raum des Archiginnasio-Palastes, wo Sie 10 Minuten bleiben und der Geschichte des Führers lauschen können. Der Raum, der wegen seiner charakteristischen Amphitheaterform Theater genannt wird, wurde 1637 vom Bologneser Architekten Antonio Paolucci, bekannt als Levanti, einem Schüler der Carraccis, für Anatomieunterricht entworfen.

This tour was quite good. It is a fascinating place where the foundations of modern academia started. The tour guide did a good job of showing us the different aspects of the facility and what was their meaning. The anatomy room where the bodies were dissected is an absolute mind blowing place to behold. It is particularly fascinating for somebody like me who is in the field of medicine. There was really no downside to this. I do believe that if you’re in Bologna, it is a must do.
