We thoroughly enjoyed this experience, it was very well done and kept us interested the whole way round. Some people were chosen to be 'victims' in certain areas, luckily not us :) but did add to the fun and anticipation to see who was picked. It lasted the right amount of time and all the dungeons actors did a brilliant job portraying their characters. Think this was best visit we did on our weekend to York. So would I recommend, definitely YES. Compared to other experiences we left here feeling we got our moneys worth.
Enjoyable experience....actors were excellent
Our 2nd year in a row of visiting the York Dungeon. Always a fantasic time, the actors are amazing and the atmosphere is great. Always fun getting picked on as well and you may get a little bit wet 😅. We will be returning next August and might even do the adults version! The price of admission is very reasonable. And the length of the attraction is around 1hr 10mins (though I think the heads on spikes that talk to you didnt work at the time we visited) Over all its a much needed experience to visit in York.
The actors are amazing and it’s a great immersive experience. It’s a great blend of gore, humour and history. All ages can enjoy and participate throughout.
What and absolutely brilliant place, the live actors are amazing and make an already good place even better! Full of surprises, fun yet very formal! I wouldn’t recommend this for any children under the age of around 14ish though…..overall it was definitely worth the money and one to remember 🫶
Came here with my husband and our 7 year old daughter. Unfortunately we had to leave half way through as our daughter was frightened. From what we got to see the acting was excellent and the young man acting as Guy Fawkes was brilliant and so kind with helping us with our early exit. We will definitely visit again when our daughter is older or just me and the hubby.

First class performance by all the staff involved in the productions. Was scary, funny, with surprises in each room ,the anticipation going from one room to another was awesome, didn't know what to expect but the entertainment value was spot on .will definitely return the top attraction in North Yorkshire.
Fantastic and entertaining. The role actors were great, got the group involved. A few jump scares along the way! A really enjoyable tour.
