City Sightseeing York Hop-On Hop-Off busstur

We picked up the tour at stop 3 and hadn't yet finished purchasing our online tickets, when the bus arrived. The driver was so incredibly friendly and she took a brief moment to tell us about the tour. We've taken many City Sightseeing tours in the last few years (3 in the last week and a half) and this was by far THE BEST! The drivers were friendly and great drivers, but the best part of the experience was our LIVE GUIDE, Mark. Mark was so informative, attentive to all of the customers, and even took a photo for me, of something I couldn't see from my seat. On our second trip, yes it was so good we took the full tour twice, there were just a few of us on the bus since it was late in the day. Mark gave the tour as if it were a full bus, and even offered recommendations for things to do and see in the area. Mark really treated all of us like family, but most impressive was his wealth of knowledge about all things associated with York. Mark set the bar extremely high for the next tour guides in our future. Thanks for a great tour!

We got to York and wanted to do the on-off but it was late so talked to the operators and were advised to come the next morning for the tour. We arrived late so we didn't end up doing the tour until later in the day and only a couple of stops. Did the full tour the next day,(our last day in York) and cursed ourselves for not doing it as soon as we'd arrived. Our guide was amazing, (Mark Davis) and big thanks to Landing and Joshua E for their food and sites to see recommendations. Well worth doing in my opinion.

A great way to get to know a fascinating and historical city. Easy to book online and with tickets valid for 24 hours, you can literally hop on and off as you like. We started from the main stop in Exhibition Square and took the full tour in one - the guide was knowledgeable and provided just the right amount of humour in his commentary. If we'd had time, we probably would have done the full tour again - highly recommended.

Visited York lots of times, but first time on the tour bus. What a lovely way to see a familiar city from a different angle! The tour guides were brilliant and full of information.

Guide knows many interesting things

We have been on on many hop on/hop off buses around the world and consider this one of our favourites. Adam provided a fun and informative commentary, and the bus stops were well planned out and easy to find. The tickets were good value for money, especially as they are valid for 24 hours so you can use the bus to get around town all day.

To get in the bus to see the whole outside of the old town is good to give our legs a break. The recording guide gives us a lot of information about the city. Don't forget to get the earphones as you go inside the bus so you can hear the guide better.

Excellent tour of the city centre passing a number of York landmark. You can hop and off at will and buses run every 15 minutes 7 days a week and tours (or if you just stay on the bus and do the complete tour then that takes about a hour). Tickets last 24 hours so you can do the full tour then go around again hopping on and off. Friendly staff, excellent driver and a very informative commentary. Thoroughly recommend it

This was a great way to hear more about the history of York. Our guide was very knowledgeable and made the facts fun to listen to. Although there is the option to hop on and off, we decided to do the whole tour around which took about 70 mins before getting off at York Minster. Would totally recommend this 👌

Quite an interesting tour with good historical facts. I enjoyed it. The bus route went to a few spots outside the town which was interesting.
