Tidigt på morgonen beger vi oss mot södra delen av staden genom vulkanens aveny, så kallad eftersom vi, om vädret tillåter oss, kommer att kunna observera kullar och vulkaner som bland annat Pasochoa, Corazón, Ilinizas tills vi når Cotopaxi National Park, där vi kommer att besöka Tolkningscentret, här kommer vår guide att förklara och svara på alla dina frågor om den högsta aktiva vulkanen i världen.
Vi fortsätter att besöka Limpiopungo-lagunen och tar en intressant promenad för att observera fåglar och växter som har anpassat sig till dessa kalla klimat. På vägen tillbaka kommer vår transport att vänta på dig för att besöka en rosenplantage och se hur de bästa blommorna i världen produceras.
I slutet av detta färgglada stopp kommer vår guide att föreslå platser och ge tid för lunch. På eftermiddagen återvänder vi till Quito och vår guide släpper av dig på ditt hotell.

The experience of visiting Cotopaxi and the Rose production tour was good. The only problem was our reservation stated that the pickup would be at 7:30. However, our guide showed up at 8:00. He stated that he was told to be at the hotel at that time. We have had previous messages via What’s App regarding pick up time or any updates which did not occur today.
Rose Tour was brilliant, guide was asleep all the on way back after lunch all the way back to the City. Cotopaxi walk around the lagoon was ok but not what we expected (seemigly other side gives full view when weather not too bad.)

The guide and driver were very informative and punctual. On the way to Cotopaxi we stopped at view points and learned about the volcanos which surround Quito. We did in fact book the incorrect tour (we hoped to hike to the glacier which wasn't this tour). The guide facilitated the change without issue, organising local guides to take us to the refuge in a 4x4. *Do be aware that this tour is to the Cotopaxi Laguna and not above.* We were very happy and would certainly use this company again!
Visiting cotopaxi is impressive but you need to be lucky to see the mountain not too covered with clouds. Wind also plays its part and can be strong. There are many trails in the park so you don't have to climb too high. There are a few haciendas in the park with awesome views.
