I flew into Istanbul a couple of days before my tour started and wanted to fill my time with experiences I would not get with a larger group as well as fill time outside of my hotel as I was traveling solo.I have always had good experiences with Viator so thought I would give it a go. I chose the all day private shopping tour as I knew trying to navigate the markets in a larger group was likely not ideal. I reached out to my guide Seyhan and asked if we could switch things around and he was very flexible.I was met at my hotel with Seyhan and a beautiful Mercedes Sprinter and a driver. Super comfy and was able to get a bit of history on my way to the markets.I knew I wanted to go to the Grand Bazaar and Spice markets, I left the rest up to him. He took me to a ceramics gallery with a demonstration and beautiful showroom as well as a handicrafts center where I was able to purchase a rug as well as a one of a kind necklace.Seyhan knew I was a Chef and took me to the fish markets which were beautifully displayed. We were able to choose from the many options, the fishmonger then took our choices to the restaurant and cooked it up for us.We went to some other off the beaten path shops and got extra special treatments because of the relationship my guide has with the vendors. All in all, a fantastic day being chauffeured around the city in comfort, which is quite large with a guide I am happy to call my friend...Highly Recommend!!!
Really fun day! Variety of experiences- he took us to some very different shops. Was able to get a taste of all Istanbuls best shops. Excellent English!

Seyhan picked us up right on time and we started with the Grand Bazaar. It’s absolutely fascinating. We tasted delicious Turkish delight and he showed us some very cool, off the beaten path stores. He was so patient while we shopped. Our shopping experience was made even better by how wonderful and hospitable all of the stores were. He took us to the most delicious restaurant for lunch. So nice to have non-tourist food! I highly recommend this tour to anybody who loves to shop. Seyhan is a wonderful tour guide.

Seyhan is the perfect host, he was completely flexible with our shopping needs and always knew the right places to go. My mum was travelling with a foldable wheelchair that he helped pack in his car each time. He planned out routes and even found accessible toilets and restaurants for us! Every request was smoothly granted and with a smile. He answered all of our curious touristy questions and we felt safe at all times with him. It was like traveling with a family member.
