Augosto was a great driver. He was polite and had a clean vehicle with waters for us. 10/10. He communicated well and adjusted to our flight delay.
I had bad experience using booking.com service for booking airport taxi. Firstly, they charged 3 times the price for a 10 min trip from my hotel to airport. Firstly arrival at airport, taxi driver switched driver on the spot. Being first time visitor to a country, is not advisable to get a switch in driver after confirmation. You have a different WhatsApp sent son another person claiming to be driver. Thank God I managed to reach hotel as scheduled, of course after checking with the former driver. After I returned to my country, my booking status still remained ‘confirmed’ when it should be ‘completed’ status. I emailed to enquire about the exorbitant price. A staff replied that it was GBP 10.67 on their record and would refund me the difference in overcharging. My record showed Euros 54 and was already with a 10% discounted price. Later, the staff replied to say my booking T & C does not allow any refund. I am sure if with their mis calculation, it’s not passenger’s fault, they should treat it as as exception to refund, not just stick to the rules. Another trip from hotel to airport though is past midnight trip, was told by hotel staff that a 10 min ride to airport cost about Euros 30 but Booking.com taxi charged Euros 74. To make matters worse, the taxi company only could confirm driver’s and car details 10 min before my scheduled time of pick up. I am not sure what’s going on behind all these bookings arrangement or was there a technical glitch to land my booking in the wrong third party trying to fleece on users of the app. I emailed to Booking.com again. This time instead of their usual prompt reply, the email address me as ‘Dear traveller’ and not my name, stating that they will review my case and get back only in 5 working days. Do you trust Booking.com app to book your airport taxi after hearing my encounter? I lost my trust in this company and would see how they handle my case to regain my trust.
Good evening, but what does booking.com have to do with me? I don't work with booking.com, so I think you're making a company mistake.
Our driver was the best. Agostino. He was patient and waited for us as our train was late. And we had my elderly parents so we could not move fast. He was the best driver we had on our trip thru Italy!
Really nice driver and driving, he was waiting for us when we arrived at the airport even when the flight arrived 30 mins earlier and helped us so much.
Good service and great hospitality. Highly recommend Midnight flight is not easy to find a taxi , no need to wait for the taxi queue.
