Fantastic experience. They made sure we were safe. Our guide OSKAR was awesome. We got to see a valley in the ice, he guided us expertly. There was a lot of education as well, so we learned about glaciers.
Incredible experience...despite the rain, wind, and cold, our guide, Bart. Made it an amazing trip. I would considerate a moderate level, but doable as the pace ensures everyone is comfortable. Its about a 15-20 minute walk to the glacier and then you climb, but not difficult. From the time you check in, get your equipment, and start the trek. Bart made it easy for all. We had a fantastic time and never felt rushed as we climbed so many groups were coming down. We were the last group of the day and had the entire glacier to ourselves the last 30 minutes. This is a must do!!!

We had an awesome tour with Dennis! Really enjoyed hiking on the glacier, really the coolest experience. The meeting point was easy to find, parking was close by, and they had restrooms at the meeting point. Definitely recommend!

Hiked the melting glacier with Swedish guide Eric Sovie. His directions were slow and clear. He took the extra time necessary to help my wife across the glacier. I felt very safe and protected under his guidance. We really enjoyed the experience. Come see it before it's gone. This finger glacier is half is size from 15 years ago. There is now a lagoon where the frozen exit one stood.

That Dennis was an awesome guide. He knew so much about the glacier and made it very interesting and not just walking around.
Wonderful experience. We wanted to spend some time on the glacier and I feel like this trip helped us see many different parts. We learned a lot. The guide was great and patient with anyone who needed more help on the ice. All the staff were welcoming
We had a BLAST. Couldn’t have had better weather and our guide was phenomenal. Elisa was incredibly informed and knowledgeable, answering questions and sharing facts about the area and glaciers in general. The trek was easy enough for beginners I would say. They allowed us to leave a bag at the desk since we brought layers of clothes to make sure we were comfortable; luckily we ended up not needing them. The temperatures do fluctuate a lot (we went in July) so keep that in mind for comfortability. Hopefully the glacier will still be here for more people to experience for a long time.
Dear Brandon, Thank you so much for your fantastic review. We’re absolutely delighted to hear that you had such a wonderful adventure and a blast exploring the glacier with us. It’s fantastic to know that Elisa made such a positive impression with her knowledge and passion, taking the time to answer questions and share fascinating insights about the glacier and the surrounding area. We’re also pleased that the pace of the trek felt suitable for beginners and that the facilities, including the option to leave extra layers behind, helped make your experience even more comfortable. How lucky that you were treated to such great weather! As you mentioned, conditions in Iceland can change quickly, even in summer, so your advice about dressing in layers is very helpful for future visitors. Thank you again for your thoughtful review. We share your hope that many more people will have the opportunity to experience these incredible glaciers for years to come, and we hope to welcome you back for another unforgettable Iceland adventure. Warm regards, Rute
A very beautiful experience with a great guide. The time slot from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM is the best to see the glacier alone!
Dear Florence, Thank you so much for your lovely review. We’re delighted to hear you had such a great experience and that your guide helped make it even more enjoyable. It’s wonderful to know you appreciated the timing of the tour. Exploring the glacier with fewer people around can make the experience feel even more special, allowing you to fully take in the incredible scenery and atmosphere. Thank you again for your kind words. We hope to welcome you back for another unforgettable adventure in Iceland. Warm regards, Rute
What an amazing experience. Eric was a great tour guide and ensured the group had a great time and learned about the glaciers of Iceland. One of the highlights of our trip to Iceland.
This glacier hike was the highlight of our 10-day trip! (We took many beautiful waterfall, glacier, ocean and mountain View hikes - everyone agreed this one was our favorite. Two adults, two teens.) Eric was our tour guide. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. Walking with the krampons was easier than we thought. We were in a small group. Eric paused and gave us information at several spots along the way, which also gave everyone in the group time to take a quick rest and take in all the sights, and take photos. We felt safe and in good hands with Eric. So much fun! Thank you for creating wonderful family glacier hiking memories for us. Tips: Make sure you wear tall hiking boots that cover your ankles or you will have to rent a pair. Make sure to bring gloves even if it’s not very cold to protect your hands in case you fall. (We did not fall, but were warned that the ice with lava rock imbedded can scrap like sandpaper, thus strongly advised to wear gloves). Wear layers. We hiked on a nice partly sunny day in the 50s (F) in late June wearing fleece-lined water-resistant hiking pants and a lightweight long-sleeve base layer sunscreen top, lightweight merino wool jacket, lightweight puffer vest, and ear headband covers. We were plenty warm. I shed the puffer vest and ear band layers by the end. Our day back packs included wind/rain coats and pants in case we needed it. My waterproof hiking boots are not ankle covering so I had to rent theirs- theirs were very comfortable. They gave each of us 1 coupon to use their bathrooms, otherwise they are expensive pay bathrooms.
