Você começará sua excursão em Belvedere. O Pico dos Barcelos tem um ponto de observação na orla do Funchal, a 355m (1165 pés). Há uma vista magnífica sobre o Funchal a partir do topo do mirante, no qual você pára por cerca de 15 minutos.
Você seguirá para Eira do Serrado, com vista para o Curral das Freiras, um vale em forma de ferradura bem abaixo. As vistas têm três lados que cortam os picos serrilhados da Madeira. Aqui, acreditava-se que a montanha mais alta da Madeira era uma cratera vulcânica. Sabe-se agora que sua dramática forma geográfica foi criada pelo próprio rio. De lá, você pode admirar os minúsculos terraços que cultivam vinho, frutas e legumes e as encostas bem abaixo, com castanheiros doces. Você vai parar por cerca de 30 minutos.
Em seguida, você se aventurará na Vila do Vale das Freiras - Curral das Freiras. O vale está situado em um enorme anfiteatro natural, cercado por alguns dos picos mais altos da Madeira. A vila foi fundada no século XVI pelas freiras do convento de Santa Clara, no Funchal, de onde as freiras fugiram dos ataques de piratas em 1566. O centro da vila está situado em uma pequena elevação no meio do vale . Você vai parar por cerca de 30 minutos

Hair raising turns through the mountain to reach the view point for Nun's Valley. Glad I had taken my gravol. The view is spectacular once you reach the top. Unbelievable that a village can be found in such a deep valley. The tunnel to reach the village is just over 2 kilometers long. Quaint village.

Really enjoyable half day trip. Manuel the courier was very good giving all sorts of information via commentary. The views from the nuns valley are spectacular.

My husband was up for doing a half day tour and this was one of the only options so we went for it. Manuel, our tour guide was incredible, very knowledgeable and a very safe driver. I was concerned for my husband who gets car sick and is not a fan of driving at high heights but Manuel took his time and knew the roads well. The best part was Eira do Serrado; stunning views even though we had quite a cloudy afternoon. We got given enough time at each of the stops and overall, thoroughly enjoyed our experience! Would highly recommend if you’re looking for something to do that doesn’t take up your whole day.

Punctual pickup by the driver, who was also an excellent guide. He knew a lot about Madeira and the destination, drew our attention to several plants along the way, each of which he seemed to know. All in all, a highly recommended tour.

Exquisite nature and views (if only I would be able to see them well without rain and fog). It’s a short tour, so can be combined with something else.

Pick up was on time but we were the last on the bus and we sat in the front seats which were very cramped for two tall adults. The mini bus was small but well driven. The stops were good with plenty of opportunities for shopping.
We are glad to hear that the pick-up was on time and that the minibus was well driven, which is essential for comfort on the island's roads. However, we sincerely apologize that the seating arrangement resulted in a cramped experience, particularly the front seats being very cramped for two tall adults.We will take your feedback into consideration regarding seat allocation for taller passengers when possible.
