Pedro was amazing. So glad he was our guide. Very knowledgeable and we had a great adventure with him.
A great tour. With hindsight we could have driven to the Nun’s Valley but we were concerned about getting parked and wouldn’t have had the benefit of Eduardo our driver explaining everything and his on-point music playlist. You also miss so much when driving yourself; the passengers get all the views while you concentrate on the road. This was well worth €40 for a half day tour. There’s wasn’t a great deal to actually do in Curral das Freiras except have a coffee and browse a few souvenir shops but gawking at the amazing scenery was more than enough. We did a couple of other minor stops and finished on Pico do Areerio with some incredible views above a partial undercast of cloud. Pick up was punctual although I had to phone the office the evening before to ask when it would be as it wasn’t mentioned on the booking correspondence. This did eventually come through late in the evening though. Also, don’t listen to the AI chatbot on their website. It said this tour was off-road and it absolutely wasn’t, never was! Still, a fun morning out.
The company are reliable and professional. They give a great experience . Our driver was informative and friendly and made the trip fun. We felt safe and everything we did was explained to us. We felt our driver went above and beyond . We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Disappointing experience. The tour started 45 minutes late with no communication. Couldn’t hear much of the guide’s commentary over the engine. Poor weather meant we saw very little at Pico do Arieiro and Boca dos Namorados. Curral das Freiras had lovely views but not much else. Câmara de Lobos was listed but skipped without explanation. We accept that the weather isn’t the operator’s fault, but it’s something to bear in mind - especially if visiting Madeira in June.

Miguel was a great host and guide and despite the bad weather in the mountains he made sure we had an enjoyable tour. Unfortunately we couldn’t see anything through the thick deep clouds but we did stop lower down for some special views. Miguel was knowledgeable about the trees and environment and the recent history of the people. Well done Green Devil Safaris.
Our guide (Lino) was very friendly and told a lot along the way he showed us the most beautiful places in a naughty way. The car had to be fixed because he did not switch so tof.He nevertheless brought us safely to our hotel. All in all a beautiful trip.
Excellent half day tour. We were a group of 6 family and friends and we all really enjoyed this tour. Punctual pickup from our hotel, our guide Lino was knowledgeable, experienced, enthusiastic and entertaining throughout the whole journey. Some off road driving, carried out confidently and safely and it really enhanced the experience.
We loved the whole experience. Nelson, our guide, was really helpful, professional and knowledgeable. There were only 3 of us on our tour and we had plenty of time at each stop. Highly recommended.
5 out of 5. Diego was a brilliant tour leader stopping to show us all the plants, fruit the country has to offer. We had enough time to stop and roam around before going on to our next stop. Worth the morning or afternoon to see the beautiful sights of Madeira. Thank you.
