Nesta excursão de um dia exploraremos os destaques de Heimaey e descobriremos a beleza cativante desta ilha na costa sul da Islândia. Este passeio permite que você descubra maravilhas naturais como Elephant Rock e desfrute da observação de papagaios-do-mar no cabo Stórhöfði. Mergulharemos na rica história da ilha no Museu Eldheimar, subiremos o Monte. Eldfell para obter vistas deslumbrantes e retornaremos com lembranças inesquecíveis desta aventura única.

Itinerário
Sua aventura nas Ilhas Westman começará no ponto de partida escolhido em Reykjavik. Quando todos estiverem a bordo. começaremos a viagem de 2 horas até o terminal de balsas Landeyjahöfn. Lá, embarcaremos no ferry Herjólfur para uma viagem panorâmica de 30 minutos até a ilha de Vestmannaeyjar.
Na chegada, o passeio começará com uma parada para admirar as vistas deslumbrantes da Pedra do Elefante (Halldórsskora). Esta formação impressionante é feita de rocha basáltica, moldada durante uma explosão vulcânica de Eldfell. A sua silhueta distinta, que lembra a cabeça de um elefante com a tromba mergulhando graciosamente na água, torna-o um marco inconfundível.
Em seguida, visitaremos o cabo Stórhöfði para uma encantadora sessão de observação de papagaios-do-mar, proporcionando muitas oportunidades para capturar fotos encantadoras dessas aves carismáticas.
Após a nossa aventura de observação de papagaios-do-mar, o nosso próximo destino é o Museu Eldheimar, carinhosamente apelidado de “Pompeia do Norte”. Aqui, você mergulhará nos acontecimentos que envolveram a erupção vulcânica de 1973 e seu profundo impacto na região. Após esta visita esclarecedora, iremos ao centro da cidade para uma pausa para o almoço (as despesas do almoço não estão incluídas no preço do passeio).
Após o almoço, o nosso itinerário leva-nos a Skansinn, situada junto à zona portuária e que leva o nome da fortaleza que outrora ocupou este espaço. Aqui, você encontrará Stafkirkjan, uma impressionante igreja nórdica "Viking" de madeira, ao lado de um farol que oferece vistas deslumbrantes dos penhascos abaixo.
Após a exploração de Skansinn, nossa aventura continua com uma caminhada até o Monte. Vulcão Eldfell, cuja última erupção ocorreu em 1973. Ao chegar ao cume, você terá um panorama magnífico dos campos de lava circundantes, da cidade e do ilha inteira espalhada abaixo.
Após a caminhada, você terá a oportunidade de passear pela cidade em seu próprio ritmo ou optar por explorar os fascinantes campos de lava no caminho de volta ao porto. Nos reuniremos novamente no porto no final da tarde para embarcar na balsa de volta ao continente, garantindo um retorno oportuno a Reykjavik à noite.

The tour was overall excellent. Our guide, an Icelandic native, shared many facts as well as personal stories. He accommodated those of us who could not or chose not to do aspects of the tour. Unfortunately, due to the ferry schedule, we had to leave at a way-too-early time on June 26, but that is not the guide's or company's fault. We lucked out with good weather and saw and experienced many great things.
Incredible visit. Our bus even got a flat tire and the driver pulled it off. The ferry was amazing. We saw a pod or pilot whales on the voyage. My recommendation to the guide is more time for lunch. We were advised to walk in town to get food but then there was not time to get the food. A longer lunch would be ideal and less stops for 5 minute picture taking. Way too many tiny stops. It took more time to get on and off the bus than it did to take the pics. Make lunch 45 minutes at least please. The puffins were amazing. The in-town walking time was a delight. Seeing the museum and the volcanic destruction was eye opening. We will Recommend to all.
We really enjoyed our tour with Jakob! Warm, friendly and entertaining, very knowledgeable, good stories, and a good driver. We loved the puffins and our other stops!

A wonderful experience all around. Our guide/driver, Siggy was great and informative, any questions I had were answered immediately, transportation was timely, and the food at the lunch stop was excellent. The history of Westman Island and the 1973 volcano was fascinating. We enjoyed seeing the puffins, birds and the landscape.
The landscape here is gorgeous. The history of volcanic eruptions is very interesting. Every stop was wonderful and given plenty of time. Small group of only 8 people, all of whom were delightful. Do not miss the visit to these islands. Our guide Sichao was hind, patient, informative, and a great driver. He went out of his way to make sure we saw so much, including a surprise waterfall at the end! A full day of adventure! The trip to the ferry was about 1.5 hours, but enjoyed the lovely scenery on trip to and from. Ferry ride was very pleasant. A terrific day!
coordination and transportation was good. the tour information and guide experience was lacking. Felt like the guide was just going thru the motions. I think he was a sub but for this price the guide should be better

Great day! We saw about a thousand puffins (seriously!). And many other birds. Also learned a great deal about the volcano including a really interesting hike on it. Rebecca was an excellent guide!
