The process was seamless from pick up to drop off. I enjoyed learning about the food and sampling the foods. Our guide Monica was very informative and personable. Our driver Massimo was great as well.

Way overpriced as a private tour. Highly recommend joining a bus tour, which have the some content in all aspect at a much lower price. And! Don't go on a Saturday when the Prosciutto factory is closed, might as well just go to any restaurant and look at some hams. We have done private tours before and were expecting a more interactive a special experience.

Regarding the price, it’s true that the content of a private tour can be similar to that of a group tour. The main difference lies in the level of service: having a private guide fully dedicated to you allows for a much more personal experience, with the possibility to ask all the questions you like, set your own pace, and enjoy explanations tailored to your interests. The same goes for the private driver, who meets guests directly at their accommodation rather than at a fixed meeting point, as happens in group tours. As for the prosciutto production, you’ve seen firsthand how artisanal products are not made on a strict daily schedule. Unlike Parmigiano Reggiano, whose production happens every morning, Prosciutto di Parma involves different stages that are not always visible every day of the week. However, we would like to kindly clarify a few important points that may help to better understand what happened on the day of your tour: Your booking was undisputably for a tour in Italian, without a private driver. As you were initially not willing to drive your own car, this created logistical difficulties. Despite having received and confirmed the final tour details in advance, you arrived at a different meeting point than the one agreed upon. The phone number provided in your booking was not active on the day of the tour, which unfortunately made it impossible for us to reach you immediately and provide timely assistance. Once we were finally able to get in touch, we did our best to assist you over the phone, but communication was challenging as you apparently could not express your situation in english and you were often hanging up. Nevertheless, thanks to the professionalism and flexibility of our guide, we were able to reorganize the itinerary and ensure that you experienced the full tour as planned. At Food Valley Travel, we always strive to offer the highest level of service and are committed to making each guest’s experience memorable. We sincerely hope you can appreciate the efforts we made to accommodate your needs, despite the misunderstandings. the tour was great, our guide Antonio was amazing, very informative and paid a lot of attention to detail. He also accompanied us for the lunch and tastings and gave a lot of interesting information and stories it felt like you were with a friend. the tour also includes a very nice mercedes with a good driver.

Wow! What a day! Vale was just spectacular, knowledgeable and a great tour guide. We highly recommend this tour. Great communication, ease in meeting, highly highly recommend. We sampled three different Parmesan cheeses and at the Parma ham factory we sampled three different Parma hams. After finishing the tour she pointed us in the direction of a castle we could tour. It was a superb day from start to finish.

Julia was a lovely host / guide. Castle was a bit disappointing due to the fog but the desired portion of the tour was exceptional.
