No porão você encontrará a Art Nouveau Art Déco Glass Gallery.

Our guide Max had planned put the day very thoughtfully taking into account our interests . We enjoyed the day in Otaru with the canal cruise and sakaimachi street being the key highlights . We ended the tour with a quick trip to the last remaining sake factory in otaru . All in all would definitely recommend this day trip with Max
Good experience at Otaru. Got a good sightseeing of Otaru in a day. Very informative
Thank you again for your review! I hope this trip has become a memorable one for you and your family. I’d be happy to guide you again whenever you come back to Japan. Have a safe trip and see you again someday! Max
We were very pleased with our 6 hour tour of Kyoto with Yoshi. He spoke very good English and explained well the sites we visited. He took us to a local ramen restaurant for lunch and to a less visited temple not on the tourist radar. He has a very fun personality and he shared stories about his life. He also took good pictures of us. Compared to other guides we had with this company and a different company, we found him superior.
Thank you so much for the comments! I really enjoyed our tour too , finding out something different style of the tour if required. Hoping you have lots of memories in Japan brought back to your home. Yoshi
Akira san is a wonderful guide. Very informative. He accomodated our requests to see a shinto temple, Sake factory etc. Akira san shared information about the Meiji revolution which was interesting. Thank you Akira san
Thank you very much for your kind words. You are very curious to know about Japanese culture and history. It was exciting and satisfying experience as a guide for me to answer your questions. I was happy to be able to take you places you want. - Akira
My impression is that Otaru is a nice, relatively small seaside town that was once a major seaport for Japan. Our guide, Katsuko Kemanai, was an older very nice Japanese lady who seemed fit for her age (about 80 years). The guide's English language skill was moderately good. Her style was not particularly energetic or entertaining and somewhat business-like. We learned a few facts about the region's historical importance in the fishing and business trades. Too often, our guide would ask, "What would you like to do? It's up to you." Maybe we should have arrived better prepared to express our reasons for visiting Otaru. One of our co-travelers specifically wanted to view cherry blossoms and build a music box; we did both.
Thank you very much for your review. It is good to hear that you were able to enjoy your time on the tour. We will speak with the guide about communicating more before the tour, so the day goes smoothly. We hope that you enjoyed Otaru! Japan Guide Agency
We had an outstanding private tour in Otaru with Kazuo Sumi, and it was a great experience. Kazuo was an excellent guide, knowledgeable, personable, and clearly passionate about sharing the history and culture of the area. He thoughtfully took us to all the major highlights, including two of Otaru’s most popular museums, and provided great context that really brought each location to life. One of our favorite stops was lunch at the Sankaku Fish Market, fresh, delicious seafood and an authentic local experience we wouldn’t have discovered on our own. We also enjoyed strolling down Sakaimachi Street, where Kazuo gave us time to shop and explore at a relaxed pace. What really made the tour special, though, was his inclusion of a few lesser-known gems, like visits to historic bank buildings that have been preserved as museum sites, it was fascinating and unique. If you’re visiting Otaru and want a well-rounded, personalized experience, we highly recommend Kazuo Sumi. His attention to detail and warm hospitality made for a memorable day. Thank you again Kazuo!
Thank you for your having sent such a nice review for our tour. I really appreciate your kindness and great cooperation with me during the tour. I'm very glad to hear that you enjoyed the local food and the atmosphere of the bank you visited. I hope you will come to Japan again in the near future, Thank you again, Kazuo Sumi
My guide Akira was excellent. Informative, understanding, patient, and helpful. He tailored the tour to my interests and let me set the pace. He didn't talk too much; rather, he let me ask questions so that he could speak on topics of interest to me. As a first-time visitor to Japan and Otaru, I could have never figured out the logistics and navigated so efficiently through the city. His English was strong and we conversed easily on subject ranging from history to sports to movies. He also translated my interactions with shop owners. Finally, he accomodated my special request to visit a local coffeehouse. A wonderful, memorable experience!
My guide Akira was knowledgeable, kind, patient, and understanding. He didn't talk too much; rather, he let me ask questions so that he only spoke on topics of interest to me. He also allowed me to set the pace, and we covered a lot of ground in six hours, from the fish market to Mt. Tengu to a coffeehouse to even the Don Quijote discount store (at my request). Being a first-time visitor to Japan and Otaru, I could have never figured out how to manage the logistics and cover so much ground so efficiently. He coordinated bus travel and translated for me at shops. He was very conversant in Enlish on a number of subjects ranging from history to movies. A memorable day with a truly expert guide!
Thank you for your warm and kind words. I am really happy to be of your help. I myself enjoyed your company very much and had a good time talking with you. I hope your stay in Japan will become a part of your good memories. Best regards Akira
Where to start! Kumiko was an absolutely wonderful tour guide, so very friendly and knowledgeable of the city of Otaru! Literally every aspect of the tour was delightful. The King Crab luncheon was absolutely delicious (best crab I've ever eaten), the museums were very interesting, it was quite neat learning about the herring based history of the city. The shopping district came next, and was a bunch of fun to wander through. Here, Kumiko was delightful as she just allowed us visit the stores we wanted to, at no point did she ever seem to rush us, and she even visited a few with us to give us some advice. We finished up at the Tanaka Sake Brewery, and yet again, Kumiko's information was great, having her guide us through the brewing process was very interesting, we got to see some active work being done, then the tasting was AWESOME. All of the different flavor profiles truly made it an experience we will never forget. All in all, wonderful day, wonderful tour, if you get Kumiko, you are going to have a wonderful time!
Thank you so much for the kind review and spending time with this. Actually I feel the words are too good for me because I also enjoyed so much with you all, such generous, positive, fun guests talking about both of our lives and interests. Lunch was great and I really appreciate you all were so friendly and respectful to the local people, which made both of them and me so happy! Really hope see you again in some winter in Hokkaido to enjoy powder snow all together! Please stay happy and healthy until the day . Best Regards Kumiko
We visit Otaru because it was a cruise stop. There is no much to see there, but the guide was so professional that she took care of us in order to see all we told her previously we were interested. My congratulations for a person that takes her job with such responsability.
We appreciate your kind feedback and our guides do too! We’re so happy to hear that you enjoyed your tour in Otaru and that your guide was able to accommodate your interests with such professionalism. We look forward to your next visit to Japan. Japan Guide Agency
