The concept is fabulous, the experience is fabulous but the only reason for 4/5 (would have given 4.5), is that the other group that joined us were young lads who were late, self-absorbed and a bit out of line. The business on our day was a bit laid back but nothing really happened. It is thrilling and a bit scary to ride and the hot rods are a little hard to handle … I only say this as it’s good to know if you are very slight and not strong. This is particularly for when you rattle over cobble stones. If I had a Euro for every photo/video taken as we went through the first district, my trip would be paid for. The other three in my family would do it again any time, I might need a little break but would do it again.
Thank you so much for your honest and thoughtful review! We’re glad you and your family had fun and that the concept resonated with you. We’re working hard to improve the overall experience — including how we group guests — and truly appreciate the helpful feedback. Hotrods can indeed be a bit bumpy over cobblestones, and your note is very valuable for future riders. Wishing you a smooth ride until next time!
This was one of my favorite parts of our trip to Vienna. Unfortunately/Fortunately, our tour for the Moonlight tour and ferriswheel Friday Night was canceled due to a clean energy protest. But we rescheduled for Sunday afternoon. Im glad we did this in the daytime instead of nighttime. I feel it was more fun and less worry about other drivers seeing you at night. Our tour guide was great, and we tipped her at the end of the tour. (When no one else did). The cars are fast and fun to drive. The street of Vienna can be a bit bumpy, and these carts dont have the best suspension, so people with back pain or elderly are not advised. Due to the motors in the carts, the radio in your ear to hear your tour guide didn't really sound too well, so dont expect to lean much from the tour guide pointing things out on your tour. Just enjoy the drive. I was a little bummed that we didn't get the Ferriswheel part of our original tour, and the "2 hours" wasn't all behind the wheel. (About an hour and 15 minutes). Even with that being said. Highly recommend if you like go carts, motorcycles, and Hot Rods, OH and also if you like your picture taken, everyone takes videos and pictures of you as you drive by in these. Super fun. Also, note that the tour management communicated with us via Whats App.
We had an absolutely amazing time. I cant recommend this experience enough. This is the second time we have been on these hot rods in Vienna, the last time was nearly 15 years ago. The fond memories of that experience were only enhanced by our most recent ride. It was fun, exhilarating and a little bit terrifying (but in a good way) The wind in your hair, the noise of the motor, the feeling of freedom, all wonderful. We scooted around the ring road, stopping for a ride on the Prater ferry (Views and nostalgia sensational) then of the the Winter palace for a second stop. We felt like rock stars with everyone waving and pointing. Especially the young kids. I am a 60 y.o. "Oma" but this adventure left me feeling like an 18 year old "Chic" again. Ryan our guide was wonderful and a lot of fun, he made us feel safe, and thew in some commentary on the sights that only a local can. I would especially like to that Maria Magdelena who went above and beyond when I lost some personal identification on the tour. (This was completely my fault and nothing to do with the operators) yet they were incredibly helpful, put themselves out to assist and in the end found and returned my item. The hotrods are one of the best experiences in Vienna the staff just make the experience perfect. I would give them six stars if I could !!!!!
Total ripoff. Beware that these guys are no more than con artists. They rarely answer your calls, very poor communication. They use a 3rd party pay system so you can't dispute the charge. They get angry and write a very poor response to your honest review in hopes that future victims will ignore your review. The truth is the cars are cute but made for taller drivers (5'6" and taller), zero protection (par for the course), filthy and poorly maintained. I get that you're not getting a Ferrari but these are a shell with a lawn mower engine. If you dent one, they charge you upwards of $2500. They aren't easy to drive so you try not to get into an accident rather than looking at the sights. You're very low to the ground and basically at eye level with others car exhausts (luckily cars are maintained well here) but you're still gonna suck down some fumes. The ride is short and if it rains, you wait or ride in the elements, and the drive is shortened. The staff know this is a bit of a ripoff, hence the high turnover rate. On a perfect day with the right car, low traffic, good host and tall driver, it might be fun but those occasions are rare. Save your money. (Watch and see, he'll write a nasty response to this review, typical true colors for a man throwing a fit for his poor business.)
We were so excited but sadly it’s a total scam. The cars were really dangerous, all were broken. After 30 minutes our guide finally found one that worked and it broke down 3 minutes into our trip. We were stranded for 2 hours and the guy refused to give us a refund… looks cool but do not do haha
This is really outrageous. You have received a refund - unfortunately I can’t post the photo here for your refund that you have received !!! unfortunately I can’t post the photo here for your refund that you have a !!!! And just another thing you didn’t wait two hours! He waited for 10 minutes because the guide that had to change a car in the garage because he felt more comfortable doing the tours in another car! We figured that you work for the competition. Thank you.
As soon as we entered the office, we would be warmly welcomed by the 2 employees present. One of the ladies introduced herself as our evening "tour guide" named Marina. From the start, the tour was a single entertaining experience, and even the view from the Danube Tower at night (which of course is a distinct highlight) could not mask the main attraction, which was the experience of cruising through Vienna's night traffic with a motorized soapbox. Looking at the world from a slightly different position and having fun conversations with your companions makes this experience the unique fun we had hoped for. In any case, this experience is recommended for anyone who has experienced the perhaps already "everyday" city tour beyond the collar and wants to see a city from a different perspective. If this is not the case, you will also find the necessary variety from everyday life with friends, couples and families and an experience that is sure to burn into the memory box. The thanks for our experience go to the extremely friendly team who created this idea, and especially our tour guide Marina, who made us laugh more than once at the traffic light phases!
Absolute experience for petrol brothers who want to experience something different! How were a group of 11 people led Florian & Stefan as guide. Small cars with a lot of buzz.
Dankeschön!! Freuen uns jedesmal wenn unsere Kunden zufrieden sind. Unsere Guides Florian & Stefan bedanken sich sehr für das liebe Feedback. Bis hoffentlich bald!
One word, Wonderful!!! On holiday in Vienna we had booked a tour with HotRod, specifically the Moonlight Tour! It was a fantastic experience!! Driving at night through the busy streets of Vienna made me have fun like I hadn't had in so many years! The tour took us up to the Donau Turm where we climbed to admire the scenery and then, once down, we walked all the way down the Vienna Ring and then back to the parking lot! Throughout the journey we were escorted by the Safety Car in front of us, driven by Stefan who was really good! As we walked along the streets he was a tour guide by radio and gave us information about the various historical sites we passed by! It also gave us important information about roads, traffic and everything you need to drive and have fun safely! It is not easy in a review to explain the feelings felt but I really recommend to live this experience because it is really worth it! I had a lot of fun and if I go back to Vienna I still book a tour!!!
Tante grazie!!! Saremo felici di rivederti!
Moonlight tour was a present for Birthday for my boyfriend. He absolutely love it! Very good present idea for someone who likes to drive. It’s like go-karting in the city center. Our guide Alex was very good, entertaining and constantly checking on us during tour.
Hi dear! We also think that isn't better present than this one! Specially if he loves to drive! Thank you for coming with us, we will be happy for having you once again! See you soon!
We were on our way to the Danube Tower with Kirstin. The HotRods are really fun. Despite my 2m I fit in (albeit tightly) Like in karting you run through Vienna and attract the attention 😊 even the Danube Tower is always worth a visit to enjoy the view. I'm sure we'll go again.
Klasse es freut uns wirklich sehr das wir euch den Abend versüßen konnten! By the way. Schaut euch mal unsere neue italienische APE an - wenn ihr mal nicht selbst fahren wollt. ladolcevienna heißt das ganze
