Oh wow, what an absolutely wonderful experience! Everything about this wine and food tasting was fantastic from beginning to end. The atmosphere was warm, relaxed and incredibly welcoming, while at the same time everything felt professional and thoughtfully put together. We learned so much without it ever feeling like a “lesson” – it was fun! The wines were delicious, the food was amazing, and the competition made the whole experience even more special. What really made the evening stand out was the perfect balance between knowledge, passion and genuine hospitality. We felt completely at ease and simply had such a great time. This was honestly one of the highlights of our time in Bologna, and an experience we will remember with a big smile. If you are considering booking this tasting – do it! You won’t regret it. Thank you for an absolutely unforgettable evening!
Five stars are too few to describe the experience. There were supposed to be three of us, but five minutes before the scheduled appointment, unfortunately, our friend felt unwell and had to cancel; it was too late to notify them. When they found out, they were more than kind in adding a fourth wine and additional tastings to the wine tasting, which was not a given considering the lack of notice caused by the situation. Beautiful experience; we tasted local products (Pignoletto, Sangiovese in two distinct interpretations, Lambrusco) and were guided to discover the territory through grapes, winery techniques, and food and wine pairings (even in the case of food, as with the wine, small companies in small settings that are always worth knowing because in Italy, "non-prestigious" businesses work constantly with great sacrifices to create quality, and I believe they should be rewarded and promoted). The sommelier game was very cute, where we tested ourselves on the rudiments of tasting (the technology is intuitive and offers analysis criteria that are truly accessible even to those who have never tried tasting a wine), a super relaxed environment where the attention to the products, the customer, and the realities of our beautiful Italy shines through. It was not a given to be gifted with cute magnets and a sample of oil present in the tasting, which was truly excellent, just as it was not a given to have our request to take away the wine glass holder as a souvenir of the experience granted. It is impossible, then, in the face of so much beauty, not to purchase some of the wines tasted and the products sampled in the pairing. If and when I happen to be in Bologna again, a new visit will be a must without any doubt, also because, given the tasting options, one is not enough! A beautiful business to promote even more to spend a different afternoon discovering many beautiful things.
Fun with the competition to become a sommelier! Otherwise, there were three good wines as different cheeses and snacks. The guy who held it was good!
Excellent evening. Relaxed and, as it is in a shop, they were very flexible with time. Individual discussion with sommelier and chef who did the pairings. Very good tasting programme on the ipad- this combination is excellent and should do well once rolled out in other cities. I'd certainly look to book similar anywhere else it becomes available.
Our guide was ! She was gracious, knowledgeable, considerate and very helpful. We are and drank well. Very enjoyable.
Fun, interactive tasting!
Really nice and friendly staff. Learnt a lot. Well worth the price. You get a card at the end of the session to access the wine machines.
Great experience overall! Staff is very kind (and also speaks good English!). Wines are very tasty, and the food that comes with it is paired perfectly. The quizgame you can play is fun to do, so we did it a few more times even after the tasting was over. Would recommend for sure!
Fun way to experience the wines in the region & understand the correct way to evaluate a good glass of wine. Loved the food pairings & knowledge test. Mossimo was an excellent teacher!
A super+ rating for Gaetano, who guided us through the culinary experience that BOTTEGA BOTLÈ offers with charm and availability. In reality, it is an experience that is more focused on Emilian wines, paired with very small tastings of local products, some of which are ancient and not easily found in stores. In my opinion, the cost is not well justified because it is obvious that it is an experience, but one also thinks about drinking and eating. Indeed, you definitely drink because you can freely access the dedicated wines, but you eat less than expected, as they are small tastings of very particular items, rather than actual food, except for the delicious Bolognese mortadella. Overall, we liked it, but €29 per person (we paid a bit less through booking as Genius 3) for a few glasses of wines, which are not exactly of superior quality, accompanied by tiny bites with very controversial flavors, is not a balanced price. That said, it was still a pleasant experience led by nice people.
