Great day with Filippo around Reggio Emilia and Parma. He is a great guide. Professional, polite, knowledgeable and kind. It was a great tour and very efficient way to cover the big three of the region. I learned so much, the tastings were great and the lunch absolutely delicious.
Hi Rohan! Thank you very much! Best, Laura
Excellent tour by Laura! She corresponded with me before our tour to ensure I had all the correct information for the meeting point. Laura went above and beyond my expectations, and her knowledge of parmigiano cheese, prosciutto di Parma, and balsamic vinegar is amazing. I really appreciated her attention to my questions. If you want a day of relaxation and deliciousness, this is the tour for you. Grazie Mille, Laura !
Thank you very much!
Pretty awesome experience. The Cheese and Basalmic tours were Amazing! Our only recomendation would be to change the Ham desination to one where we could actually purchase some product. Fillipo, the guide was incredible. Very knowledgeable in all aspects.
Hi, actually it's possible to buy the ham and other deli meats! In the factory in chunks, in the restaurant in slices. Thank you! Laura
We reviewed our previous tour of Parma with Laura in February 2020. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to make it part of our itinerary when we returned to Italy in a group of five family members in October 2023. We emailed back and forth extensively with Laura to finalize the best possible itinerary to please all of our traveling party. Laura was prompt. diligent, and thorough in her replies. Once we had finalized our itinerary for the day, I appealed to her for help in obtaining a driver to tour Bari, as my own efforts had been unsuccessful. Laura and her own driver came through, finding a driver who proved to be competent and friendly, enabling us to visit the two famous towns, Matera, and Alborobello, and the Castellano Caves in one busy day. Again, we communicated back and forth numerous times to finalize this, and we never could have done it without Laura’s help. As to our tour with her in Parma, it was outstanding. Laura and her driver (we needed a van for our party of 5) picked us up at the train station, and we made it to a Parmesan cheese facility while it was still in operation on a Friday morning. It was fascinating for everyone, and we two enjoyed seeing a different and much larger facility than the one we’d visited with Laura in 2020. Visiting the Parma ham facility was also very interesting, and the lunch afterwards was most pleasurable. Laura had lined up a cooking class for us at the nearby Gastronomia Orlandini. We had decided on this with some trepidation, as two of the family members in our party were retired restaurateurs who know their way around the kitchen. We shouldn’t have worried. The vivacious instructor thoroughly entertained us and taught us all something about preparing a variety of pastas. It was yet another highlight of our day. Having dealt with Laura on two separate occasions, and taking particular note of all of the additional assistance she cheerfully provided us gratis in facilitating a tour in Barim we can offer the very highest recommendation for her services as a guide. As in 2020, Laura, the 3-5 year old Parmigiano Reggiano that we bought to stuff into our suitcases, cheese of a vintage we haven’t been able to find in the US, arrived home safely with us, and we will be savoring it for some time to come with pleasant memories of our day in Parma with you. Grazie Mille!
Thank you so much!!!
Highly recommend this tour with Laura and Ricardo. She was extremely responsive and accommodated my last minute booking. She has been a tour guide since 2008 and is extremely knowledgeable on all parts of the visits. We went to a parmigiano reggiano factory, balsamic vinegar producer, and proscuitto maker. She was able to answer all my questions about parts of the production. The places are well selected as she has developed relationships over the years with small batch local producers. The tastings are amazing and highly recommend buying some balsamic made the traditional way!
This was our favorite part of our trip to Italy. It was such a unique and amazing experience you can only get in Parma. Our guide was informative, and very helpful. The balsamic tour was our favorite part and we purchased some to bring home and enjoy it all the time.
The whole tour was excellent. We loved seeing the cheese being made and the balsamic tour was so interesting. Great lunch!
Thank you very much! It was a pleasure to meet you! All the best!
Very interesting tour to small producers in the region of Parma. Nice to see the production, taste something and buy good things to take home. We made the tour with Laura - she is a very good tour-guide.
Hi Clara! Thank you very much! I really like this job and meeting people from other countries and talk with them! It was really nice to meet you! Best, Laura
Laura offers an engaging and entertaining tour sure to delight any foodie. To say this was a highlight of our trip is a simple fact. Laura’s territory is the capital of Emilia Romagna’s “Food Valley”, and she shows it off effectively. The three venues she chose were all wonderful, and she cheerfully helped us pack the 185 Euros worth of Parmigano-Reggiano we bought into our roll-aboards in the cheese facility’s parking lot. Laura, you’ll be happy to know that every bit of it, along with two bottles of Marco’s balsamic vinegar, made the trip safely all the way back to Birch Bay, Washington State. Laura adjusted her schedule to pick us up early, get us to the cheese facility in time to watch the charming “Big Cheese” and his two sturdy assistants process some Parmesan, and finally to drop us at the train station in time for our 2:30PM train after a delightful lunch. Laura is fluent in English, she possesses great knowledge tempered with a good sense of humor, and she made our morning with her fly by. We highly recommend her services as a guide to anybody interested in a personalized tour of one of the world’s food capitals.

This was a very enjoyable day touring the places that actually produce Parma ham, Parmesan Reggiano and Balsamic Vinegar. Laura was very informative and friendly. I would highly suggest taking this tour.
