This was an above average independent tour of Windsor Castle. The timely bus trip, the supplied audio headsets, and information received from the palace staff provided an enjoyable, memorable experience. Our only issue was an ongoing power outage leaving the rest room dark, at the meeting point, Evan Evan’s, along with the coed bathroom. Overall a worthwhile tour!
To me it was a wasted day, we had 2 hours to see everything. Definitely not enough time. I would have taken the train had I known and saved myself the money it cost for this trip. The castle was amazing, but we had to rush. We weren’t able to see the town or the shops. On the bus it was a silent ride, no history given about the area or the castle as I’ve experienced on previous tours. Very disappointing
I was hoping for a bit of introduction about Windsor Castle! All it was was essentially a ticket and ride to Windsor!
Our bus driver continued to turn off the air conditioning which made the ride to the castle miserable. People were yelling at him to turn it back on, and he would do so for one or two minutes and then turn it off again. Our tour guide was terrible. She got us on the bus, made no comments regarding the tour we were going on, made no announcements i.e. where we could find the restrooms, a number for emergencies,, etc. she got us off the bus, walked very fast to the entrance to the Castle and then took off. The castle employees even asked us where the end of our group was. We didn’t know!! It would have been nice for her to have talked to us as we traveled there about the Castle. This “tour” was a total waste of money. All they provided was a bus ride to and from. Save your money and book elsewhere, or just take the train and save $$$$. So disappointed in this group and I will never book with Evan Evans again.

There is lots to explore at Windsor castle and a half day does not give it justice, however we visited towards the end of our vacation stay and were tired of long days so this option was perfect.

A taxi service with no commentary about the area or site. Be aware, there is a lengthy walk from the coach depot to the front of the castle. Limited time for touring the complex

Not nearly enough time to really appreciate the beauty & history of the castle. The whole thing felt rushed. Also, the tour guide walked way too fast. Your guides should be more cognizant of seniors & how slow they can be. The guide was friendly & warm, but he left us behind more than once.

This is a well paced and relaxed half day tour. We really enjoyed our time at Windsor Castle and Steven Our guide was informative, polite, and helpful. I liked the fact that the tour was only five hours so you still have the rest of the day to enjoy. Definitely recommend this tour!
