Zowel oenofielen als natuurliefhebbers kunnen genieten van deze privé-verkenning van de Kaapse Wijnlanden. Niet alleen bezoekt u drie gerenommeerde wijnboerderijen voor heerlijke wijnproeverijen en fenomenale combinaties in de regio's Paarl, Stellenbosch en Franschhoek; het buitengewone landschap onderweg voert u terug naar weleer om herinneringen op te halen tussen witte gevelgebouwen en indrukwekkende herenhuizen geflankeerd door stijgende bergketens. Eerst bezoekt u het kaasparadijs Fairview voor een meesterproeverij van hun wijn met lokale producten. Ga verder naar Franschhoek met een stop bij wijndomein Plaisir voor een inzicht in de biologische landbouw van boerderij tot vork en de smaken van hun beste wijnen. Bezoek de zelfverklaarde culinaire hoofdstad van Zuid-Afrika, Franschhoek voor een lunchstop en sluit uw meander langs de Winelands af met een wijnproeverij op het erfgoedrijke Muratie-wijngaarddomein voordat u in de late namiddag terugkeert naar Kaapstad.

Laat Kaapstad achter u en ga met een luxe minibusje naar het wijngebied Stellenbosch – beroemd om zijn mediterrane klimaat en vruchtbare bodems die jaarlijks miljoenen liters wijn produceren. Met uw Expert Gids stapt u terug in uw minibusje en vervolgt u uw reis naar het noordwesten naar de wijnstreek Paarl, de thuisbasis van toonaangevende wijnproducenten zoals Fairview. Stop bij het Fairview Wine Estate en probeer verschillende van hun beroemde witte wijnen en kazen. Omdat dit een privétour is, is uw reisschema voor de dag flexibel en kunt u hakken en veranderen wanneer u maar wilt. Dus doe het rustig aan en zorg ervoor dat je onderweg meandert, wat langer blijft als je wilt of zelfs langskomt bij schilderachtige haltes onderweg. De geschiedenis van het landgoed, gesticht door Charles Marais in 1693, is doordrenkt van wijnbouwtraditie en Frans erfgoed. De verzorgde gazons, oude eikenbomen en panoramische vergezichten creëren een schilderachtige omgeving voor wijnliefhebbers. Stap binnen in het proeflokaal, gevestigd in een charmante schuur uit 1823, en geniet van enkele van de beste wijnen van het landgoed terwijl u geniet van een adembenemend uitzicht op de vallei. Verbeter uw smaakervaring met wijn- en zoetwarencombinaties, waaronder ambachtelijke nougat- of chocoladetruffels. Plaisir Wine Estate's serene sfeer en historische charme maken het een onvergetelijke bestemming voor wijnliefhebbers. Verken het rijke erfgoed en de prachtige landschappen van het landgoed terwijl u geniet van voortreffelijke wijnen en uzelf onderdompelt in de schoonheid van de omgeving. De lunch vindt plaats in de gastronomische hoofdstad van Zuid-Afrika - Franschhoek - op ongeveer 8 km afstand. Je privégids wijst je op de beste terrasjes en restaurants en laat je vervolgens op eigen kosten van de lunch genieten. De epicurische hoofdstad van Zuid-Afrika; Franschhoek, met zijn vele eetgelegenheden, is een must voor fijnproevers en in het weekend lonkt de lokale boerenmarkt met kleurrijke kraampjes, smakelijke aroma's en livemuziek. Je hebt tijd om te genieten van de geschiedenis van de Franse Hugenoten die in de zeventiende eeuw zijn aangekomen, misschien een geïmproviseerde kerkkoorprestatie op straat te vangen, snuisterijen te kopen en snuisterijen langs de hoofdstraat of genieten van een charcuterie bord en smakelijke lokale creaties.
Uw laatste stop van de dag is een klein Stellenbosch wijndomein genaamd Muratie, zeer geliefd bij de lokale bevolking, met zakken vol charme. De traditionele kelders worden gekenmerkt door bouwvallige muren en versleten schilderijen toe te voegen aan de rustieke charme. Proef de versterkte zoete portwijn van het landgoed en lokaal geproduceerde chocolade (of vergelijkbaar*) – een winnende combinatie! Als u geen fan bent van zoete wijnen is de Muratie's klassieke witte of rode proeverij ook beschikbaar als alternatief. Ontspan op de terugreis naar Kaapstad, waar u in de vroege avond aankomt. - De exacte route is onderhevig aan verandering en kan soms in een andere volgorde worden uitgevoerd. *Muratie's ervaring met het koppelen van chocoladewijn wordt stopgezet tegen april 2024 en vervangen door een vergelijkbare waarde van wijnproeverijervaring. - Deze privé tour loopt exclusief voor u. I was lucky enough to experience this wine tour having booked through Viator. It lives up to the 5 star reviews. It was faultless from start to finish. Our Guide Gigi (his nickname meaning gentle giant) was an absolute star, full of knowledge and interesting and exciting stories throughout the day. We also got to enjoy some fabulous food and wine in spectacular settings! What a treat... Definitely a bucket list tick box for anyone keen to explore the area in a day.

Our guide was great, very positive about South Africa and knowledgeable about wine. We were very delayed due to an accident on the motorway and didn’t get to do all the wine farms on the schedule, but Paul made it a special day nonetheless. Lots of lovely wines, a diversion to Plaisir highly recommended.

This day trip to the Stellenbosch region was fabulous. Started at the Fairview Wine Estate where wines were paired with cheese. Delicious! Franschhoek Town was next where we walked the town filled with wine stores, art galleries, boutiques and restaurants. Pretty town and so many options for lunch. Took the Wine Tram (great idea so you could go from one winery to the next without driving)! We stopped at the Rickety Bridge Farm...so much fun to try so many wines. This Winery was started by Paulina De Villiers in 1797. Last stop was the rustic wine farm of Muratie. Dessert wines paired with chocolate. Unbelievable experience, with an exceptional tour guide for the day! Highly suggest this private guided tour.

Our guide Gerhardus Pretorius was an enchanting, knowledgeable, and accommodating. We had a wonderful experience visiting Fairview and thoroughly enjoyed its Master Tasting. We then got a delightful taste of Franschhoek. Afterwards we visited Babylonstoren Gardens where we indulged in a delightful Chardonnay/MCC Tasting and a couple of delicious platters for lunch. Our final stop was Muratie for a Chocolate & Wine Tasting. We loved the setting, wines, and the chocolates. A ride through Stellenbosch revealed a lovely university town. We highly recommend this tour and our guide Gerhardus Pretorius.

What a fabulous day and experience we had courtesy of Hotspots2c! Our guide (JP) was brilliant, very knowledgeable about wines and made sure that we were thoroughly looked after at every vineyard we visited - absolutely nothing was too much trouble, and the vineyard at Muratie with its own history an experience in itself. And the wines - superb!!!!! This trip was one of the highlights of our South Africa holiday with very happy memories of a fantastic day and I would absolutely recommend Hotspots2c to anyone considering one of their tours.
