De excursie duurt ongeveer vier uur, inclusief handige hotel pick-up en drop-off. Terwijl onze chauffeur u niet vergezelt tijdens de Robbeneiland tour, geniet u van een busrit over het eiland, gevolgd door een aangrijpend bezoek aan Nelson Mandela's gevangeniscel, waar u leert over zijn 18 jaar gevangenschap en de lange strijd voor vrijheid. Dit pakket van een halve dag garandeert een zorgeloze vakantie, inclusief vervoer heen en terug vanaf uw accommodatie in Kaapstad en toegang tot het museum. Maak van tevoren een reservering om teleurstelling op de dag van het evenement te voorkomen nadat je de cel van Nelson Mandela hebt bezocht en meer hebt geleerd over de lange geschiedenis van het eiland. Reserveer ruim van tevoren om teleurstelling te voorkomen. Met een retourtransfer vanaf uw hotel kunt u genieten van een zorgeloze reis. Je ziet de cel waar Nelson Mandela 18 jaar lang gevangen werd gehouden. De rondleiding door de gevangenis wordt geleid door een Robbeneiland-gids. Een deel van de rondleiding wordt u per bus rond het eiland vervoerd, voordat u de gevangeniscel van Nelson Mandela bezoekt en uw gids en chauffeur ontmoeten u bij de ingang van de Nelson Mandela Gateway.

Joseph was a great driver and gave us information as we went over. He took care of getting the tickets for us and making sure you were in the right place and giving us ideas about the layout of the V&A atea after we were done. Of things to do. The tour of the island itself was fabulous. It was a bus ride, and then we sat and heard from an actual gentleman that had been a prisoner there. Overall, just a wonderful educational experience.

A visit to Robben Island is not for the faint of heart. Stories from former inmates who experienced daily and cruel torture and deprivation of basic human rights for years brought tears to my eyes and fellow travelers. For those who want learn from the bleak period in South African history you should not miss this opportunity when you visit Cape Town

The tour guides were great, and Samuel who picked us up from the hotel was wonderful!! The tour was closer to 6 hours instead of the 4 hours advertised, and Samuel waited patiently to take us back to the hotel.
