Rondreisopties
Reisroute

Really enjoyed our photo walk with Andy. Lots of ideas about composition and the history and contemporary culture of Bruges. It was great to see the way that he has approached different subjects. Andy has an easygoing manner and clearly has a great love of Bruges.
I took the "Hidden Brugge" tour and was very informative. Andy definitely knew his photography and local history of Brugge. He had good examples on his ipad and gave good suggestions and critique of pictures immediately taken.
After having a tour with this man I was naively enthusiastic about telling my photographic contributors to our competition website about Brugge and passed on details. It transpires that he is really only interested in holiday snappers and in spite of creating more custom for him, he inexplicably became very negative and threatening so I will have no more to do with him. In the meantime I have had more visits to Brugge and have always said that the beauty of the city is there for anyone who really looks.
Hi Richard, I can only conclude that, well, you simply and literally haven't taken my photo tour and your review (respectfully) needs review: Having checked my records, I haven't had a tour guest named Richard since early January 2020; I am 110% -completely- interested in ALL photographers (not just snappers) with hundreds of reviews reflecting that more advanced photographers are also quite cared for and welcome; and finally... Absolutely no record or possibility* that I would become "very negative and threatening" if you tried to send guests my way. Actually, I'd want to give you a hug! (*I say "no possibility" also because I would simply and surely remember this kind of energy and interaction, if anything I would've wished you well and goodbye before it escalated that far.) Are you 100% sure this review belongs here and to me (Andy McSweeney of Photo Tour Brugge, from Canada but settled here through marriage for 20+ years)? I'd ask you to check that it's indeed me and not one of my imitators/"competition" (in quotes as, based on reviews, I'm notably more trusted) that you may have joined instead of me, you say "this man" but hardly conclusive and actually even more confusing for me to get what happened here. - Andy PS: Glad you enjoyed Brugge and recommend a visit, indeed a truly special city for photos or otherwise.
Andy gave my wife and I an amazing tour of beautiful Brugge AND helped us capture some incredible and unique photos of the lesser known parts of town. We learned a little history from a local, got some photo tips, and had a lot of fun on this tour. Highly recommend.
One of the best ways to see and learn about Bruges. Andy’s photographer’s eye helps one see Bruges from perspectives that bring so much life to already beautiful venues. If you’re learning photography, you will find a wealth of information in the time that flies by and you will find you’ve taken some great photos. This was our second excursion with Andy and we hope it won’t be our last.
Very nice meeting of life. I loved my tour in FRENCH!!! Because yes, Andy speaks French very well. 😉 . A very nice learning about Bruge, photography, techniques and especially psychological (mindset) when you are a protographer!!!!. Thank you very much Andy McSweeney
I took two of Andy’s tours. Got a little history of the city + great photo ops that I wouldn’t have found on my own. If you want to capture some good shots, Andy’s tours are well worth the time and effort.
Booded a two hour session with Andy after spotting his brochure in our hotel. Best 60 Euros I spent in my 6 weeks in Europe. Thoroughly enjoyable, Andy was very helpful, made wonderful suggestions and thoughtful critique, as well as providing great locations in the quieter part of town. Helped me explore wide angle photography which I had previously tended to avoid.
I thoroughly enjoyed this photo tour of the lesser known parts of Brugge with Andy. He is a great photographer and freely offered many creative ideas to capture unique images, including showing us examples of his own work at each site he took us to. He encourages you to play with different ideas and offers tips on your specific camera or phone. If you enjoy photography on any level, do t hesitate to take this tour. You’ll learn a lot about photography and some history of Rugge as well.
Andy is a great host - we visited lots of locations and were shown detail we might have otherwise overlooked. Info was illustrative and anecdotal, useful and thought provoking. If you are not sure about this tour - just do it, you won't be disappointed!
