Ontdek de geschiedenis en het mysterie achter de Heilige Lijkwade van Turijn. Volgens de legende werd het grafkleed van Jezus' gekruisigde lichaam in 1578 door de hertogen van Savoye overgebracht naar Turijn. Begin de tour met een rondleiding door het Museum van de Lijkwade om een aantal vragen te beantwoorden die verband houden met de authenticiteit van de Lijkwade, een relikwie dat mensen van over de hele wereld aantrekt. Ga verder naar de Renaissance Kathedraal gewijd aan St. John The Baptist waar de Lijkwade wordt bewaard. Eindig de tour met een bezoek aan de adembenemende Kapel van de Lijkwade, Guarino Guarini's meesterwerk en een van de beroemdste barokke gebouwen ter wereld. Op dit moment wordt de Heilige Lijkwade niet blootgelegd.

This tour was an excellent overview of the holy shroud. Plus the top highlights of the city of Torino. Our guide Christina was extremely knowledgeable and very informative. She was able to answer a variety of questions even though not related to the subject of our tour. She also was extremely accommodating as there was a tremendous amount of rain earlier in the day, and she made all the necessary adjustments
I am a Lutheran believer without any strong views of relics. The Turin Shroud is still more than a relic, it is such a well-known part of the history even without taking any stance as to its actual provenance. The museum was very good and it was nice to see so much angles and facts. The private guide was wonderful, thoughtful and very informative.

We couldn’t recommend Sarah enough! She was so knowledgeable about the history Turin, the Holy Shroud and Royal family - we were beyond impressed. She really made us feel like we were locals by giving us so rich details along the way. While the museum and church were absolutely beautiful on their own, her knowledge really made this a much more in depth and personal journey that we would have never experienced if we tried to do this on our own. If we could rate more than 5 start we absolutely would!
This was a very intertesting tour and Carla did a great job. The tour starts at the Shroud Museum which is very small but has interesting artifacts with respect to the history of the Shroud. From there you go to the Cathedral where the Shroud is strored in a protective vault in a chapel (note you will NOT see the Shroud itself as it is not on display). After that you have entry to the Royal Museum to see the Chapel constructed to hold the Shroud in the past. Also note your ticket gives you FULL ACCESS to the Royal Museum, Archeological Museum and Gallery so if you are taking this tour you should not do that separately.
Wow! This tour was incredible…Mirella was our tour guide and she was incredibly knowledgeable. We had an interest in learning more about the Holy Shroud of Turin, and we knew we had to do a tour while staying in the city. Mirella exceeded our expectations with her passion and knowledge of the Shroud - the science behind it as well as the history. Mirella was very kind and accommodating as well, taking the time to show us around parts of the city and giving excellent recommendations. In conclusion we HIGHLY recommend taking a trip to Torino specifically to do this tour if you have an interest in this subject, and book Mirella as your tour guide if you can.
We found it wonderful and with a much needed spiritual presence. We have lived and recreated the moments of martyrdom sands of knowing how the holy savanna and the history of the city were protected.
